"Motörhead" or surgery
I have two concerns. Two doctor friends and I wonder if long hours spent as teens and young adults in small garages, working on cars, with motors running, and/or chemicals involved, contributed to our disease. And now another friend has developed PD who worked in an auto shop all his life. The other

3 years on Ibrutinib/Imbruvica and a study involving fasting
Hi all, I am celebrating an anniversary of sorts. On this day, exactly three years ago at the time of my sending this post, I swallowed my first capsules of Imbruvica/Ibrutinib which was then only called PCI-32765 in a Phase Ib Clinical Trial for Relapsed or Refractory patients at OSU under the care

Hi all - looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience. hemangioma on the liver.
Hi everyone. I have cirrhosis from HCV contracted some forty years ago. I was treated successfully some eighteen years ago. On a routine US scan they found a lump which, after two MRI scans six months apart, turns out to be a rapidly growing hemangioma. I found out that the consultant has referred me

Hi My husband was diagnosed with alcoholic liver disease in Feb, was in hosp 3 weeks, had an ascites drain, he is now back at work, eating like a horse, no alcohol since, all blood tests 'normal', he's just on 50mg spiro & omeprazole daily. He's felt fine until 2 weeks ago, he says his fingers, arms,

Being on Abatacept
Hi All Abatacept users. Have found out about injecting it now I'd like to know what experience people have had on it. I have previously had two anti TNF's and one biologic - Rituximab - all of which worked great but they all messed up bits of me so had to come off them. Am comfortable with self injecting

Anyone had any problems on Abatacept self injection?
Not sure I really want to know the horrid bits but looks like I may be on Abatacept as it's easier for me to self inject a biologic rather than travel to have infusions of Rituximab. Thanks all.

I have wet macular degeneration in both eyes since i was 25. So far, i've had a few bleeds so i recognise them and know when i'm having one. I had a cataract op on Mon and still feel seasick with very different sight in my eyes. Has anyone else had this problem? Did it settle?
I was diagnosed with PMR last May and am now on 9mg Pred having reduced from 12.5 since Christmas. The cataracts seem to have developed very quickly while I have been on steroids. The seasick feeling plus nausea when I move is making me worry that I could be developing GCA or is it just the operation
