Red flushes and my liver tests, time to stop?
I was quite a heavy drinker in periods over the last 15-20 years up until the end of January this year. Sometimes it was 2-4 times per week, some weeks nothing, sometimes periods of 6-8 weeks or longer without. Generally it was not daily though there were periods of several days in a row. Essentially

Enlarged Liver
Any advice on whether it's possible to have an enlarged, fatty liver but LFT results to be normal? The main thing that is worrying me is the fact the liver is enlarged which to me means there is some kind of problem going on!!!? If my results come back normal should I still insist on a referral to see

High GGT (309), normal ultrasound and fibroscan (3.2kPa), other liver functions normal. Any ideas?
Hi, this is my first post here. I am 38 and had a general health check last november, which found high GGT function. I was referred to gastroenterologist, who ordered ultrasound, fibroscan, and more blood tests. Ultrasound and fibroscan were normal. Still haven't received results of blood tests. I

I have macular degeneration in the right eye and dry in the left. I have been treated with the injections for 2 years. My cataracts are
Getting worse because I take a lot of Presdnisone for COPD. The retina specialist says I can't have the cataracts removed because of the treatments. Is that true? I live in the US so I can't call your Macular Society.

A Fibb and Hypertension
I have had A Fibb on and off for 4 yrs but this year had 6 episodes lasting up to 36hrs between April and the end of Sept. Got to see an EP and he put me on Flecinide 100mgs twice a day. I had been on Bisoprolol 5mgs a day to help with both A Fibb and High B/P. I found Bisprolol had a terrible effect

About three years ago I was diagnosed with wet AMD in one eye. I was lucky, had the first of the Lucentis injections within a week, responded well, and the damage was limited. I've just had cataract surgery on both eyes and my vision (with glasses) is back to 20/20. So though there is still the scarring

Cataract operation and RA
Hi all I had a helpline call today from a lady who has RA and needs to have cataracts removed from both eyes. She has been informed that because she has RA she is at greater risk of complications from this surgery, and in particular something called 'corneal melt'. I have not come across this before

Top Foods That Help To Improve Eyesight
Eyesight is a crucial sense for human beings as it is for all animals. When we suffer from poor eyesight, our normal functioning and living is hampered to a great extent. While medicinal intervention and ophthalmic procedures are there to correct our vision, eyesight needs to be maintained and kept healthy
