In earlier posts i had told that i am fallowing LCHF DIET. I am 61+ yrs ,59 kg Diabity from 8yrs . NUMBERS AS FALLOWS.

Before fallowing LCHF I use to struggle hard to controll bs and could not eat well .
Now what i did is , AVOIDED rice chapati and other GRAINS made eatables potato SWEATS etc
NOW i eat COOKED pulses ALL DALS NUTS GHEE BUTTER curds MILK PANNNER PAKODAS BHAGGIS VADAS ETC & VEG ONLY GLUCO NORM G1 Twise a day
What i think is when u eat ghee and dairy products , it makes a good lubricant in stromach and reduses hungryness and allows to pass out the food fast so that sugar is limited to enter blood.

there is no harm in taking saturated fats like whole milk, curd, ghee, egg, omlette, butter etc. it will not increase cholestrol. i am type 2 diabetic and do not take medicine. earlier my lipid values were very high because i used to take lot of corbohydrates. when i started taking fats ( not fried) these values reduced considerably. so do not worry about fats.
I am more worried about you than your serum fat,because you may endup at a stage when your physician will find it dificult to bring you back to normal values.
The food selection appears to me rather unnatural,unscientific combination,defies logic especially to a dietician,a combination rather risky for coronary and cerebral vasculature,please check with your regular allopathic physician before continuing this dangerous prescription...........................................................................................................combination for a diabetic
thank you for your concern. for your information i do not take any medicine for sugar and cholesterol. after starting these fats and reducing intake of corbohydrate only i am able to bring down all the vaues to normal. i am doctorate in engineering and i do not take any thing granted without testing. if medicines are able to bring the values to normal (no cure) what is the harm in doing the same with diet and exercise. infact these fat will not cause any coronary and cerebral vasculature. always we have to be practical.
I am more practical than you.,having actually seen fat and cholesterol clogging up thickened coronaries and cerebral arteries in nearly 40 or more adult bodies after their death secondary to diabetes and hypertension
your qualification is not an assurance to get you nearer to your health or happiness
nature never intended you to take any of those fat rich diets.
part of the so called milk availale to you comes from emulsified palmoil and urea, the rest from cows injected with oxytocin and poterior pitutary extracts
you dont need to be reminded where eggs come from.and for whom is it intended
milk for a child is understandable, but is it necessary for an adult?
If your blood values are normal with such an abnormally high fat diet,
you are lucky so far and probably you may not be diabetic in the first place,or your lab values are unreliable
enjoy yourself and hope the angels will take care of you
as your well wisher I cannot encourage you to continue to harm yourself like this,
Your body may have a good reserve, but why test your endurance with such a diet and run the risk.
A very short period to judge.Please continue monitoring your bs for at least six months before reaching any conclusion.AsMpath said get your lipid profile and Hb1Ac done.But as you are delighted with the result, you have become tension free, which itself will lower your bs and contribute towards general we'll being.Well done keep it up.
Please explain in detail per day food intake with carb 100 gms. the types of food which you intake. please tell what will be for 100gms carb. K.rangaswamy
CONGRATS, KEEP IT UP. I AM FOLLOWING SAME TYPE , ADDITONALLY, I AM TAKING FENUGREEK WITH MORE WATER EVERY DAY EMPTY STOMACH MORNING., BEFORE GOING FOR 40 MINUTES WALKING.
BEFORE THIS PROCESS , I HAVE CLOSTROL PROBLEM I AM TAKING ECOSPRIN AV 75 TABLET EVERYDAY, I JUST AVOID MILK PRODUCTS./ CURD /GHEE ETC.,
NOW I HAVE GOT NEW SIDE EFFECT OF SKIN DRYNESS PROBLEM IN MY HANDS /PALMS. IN SOME PLACES , NOT AT ALL PLACES.,
NO I AM APPLYING COCONUT OIL 2 TO 3 THREE TIMES A DAY, GETTING CLEAR AND AGAIN COMING .,
HOPE , SOMETHING PROBLEM IN VITAMIN SHORTFALL IN THIS FOOD SYSTEM.
PLEASE SUGGEST WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO COME OUT OF THIS ISSUE.

The word 'FARCE' has really gone right into your system. Anyway, I am closely going through every thread you write...... and like the way you passionately respond to every Q on LCHF. Now, this is not sarcasm, I truly mean it.

Congratulastions Keep it up for the rest of life only you have to keep checking criterion level as regards the cholestrol level is concerned let me answer my level before taking high fat food .My total cholestrol decreased to 124.1 from 184.1. What more you can expect. One can add egg, meat fish etc no harm.
the ecospirin plays the role of anti coagulant and hence it could be consumed even if one's sugar level are normal.Also multi vitamin and other supplement should be taken care for nerves
medfree, thanks I am also engineer ,retired 74 yrs and follow the high fat. I am stinted,in 2004 ,but my result cholesterol is 130 only far below the normal level. I eat eggs full ,feel fine and with in limits BS

Sir, normal level of total cholesterol for elderly persons is between 200 to 240 mg/dl.I am not saying this.but WHO report on wold mortality rates does.The real damage inflicting cholesterol - small dense LDL - which is designated as LDL-P is not measured anywhere in India as far as my knowledge goes .The standard lipid profile test including LDL is useless in determining the heart risk factor.When I put this question to my doctor I do not get proper response since it is against conventional wisdom.Lower cholesterol levels increases the risk of infectious disease and cancer. Cholesterol is very essential for life .

An engineer form IISc- 65 years old -27 years of diabetes brought under great control with LCHF diet .with 50% reduction in oral drugs.
I have always agreed that low carb may not contribute, and hopefully also low fat.to atherosclerosis in arteries
Having actually seen that the thickened arteries are due to deposits of cholesterol and fatty acids,facing the fact that diabetics cannot handle even normal quantity of fat,why run the risk of challenging the diabetic persons metabolism with high fat, which is unnecessary.
you better ask medfree. he will guide you in better way. of course i reduced my intake of carb and increased fat intake but not in the ratio of 20:20:60. but in my view LCHF is best for a diabetic
