had my 2nd cataract extraction Wednesday at our lovely local community hospital as before all went well arrived 8am op 930 home by 1030 all well and my o2 stats were 100 %!so must be doing something right if all general hospitals had day surgery units as we have waiting lists would surely be down and patients would be far less stressed

Glad all went well with your op. I have just come back from my optician and my cataract should be ready next year, and when I asked him where the best place he said our local hospital was fine. Many of my friends have had good treatment there.
