Spironolactone
Hello everybody My wife has been on spironolactone for sometime, originally she was on a combination of Spironolactone 100mg & Furosemide 40mg. Unfortunately she had a reaction to furosemide IE (confusion), so they stopped her taking Furosemide. They increased her dose of Spironolactone to 200mg, which

Prednisone tapering and mood
Has anyone shared my experience? I was diagnosed with Large Vessel GCA in October 2017. I am on monthly Actemra infusions and now down to 2mg prednisone with no ill effects except that I have noticed my mood is quite low and dull. When I started on 100mg and as I reduced I felt positive and and energized

Effect of Alcohol Free Wine on your Liver
Hi all I'm new to this website and am seeking advice about alcohol free wine. I'm trying very hard not to drink alcohol other than at a week-end as my recent blood tests weren't the best. I've been told my liver damage can be reversed but I'm finding it difficult not to drink. I'm trying to get by on

AF
AF /heart failure. I was "accidentally" diagnosed during a preop about 18 months ago. (I'd complained of shortness of breath and other things previously)Both atria affected. To cut the story, I've only been on a blood thinner since, not seen my doctor for 3months and only very recently become aware

CSR a year on
Hi, about a year ago I posted about my distorted vision and fear of having WetAMD. A year on and numerous visits to opticians and hospitals it’s definitely Chronic CSR, including the original & current episode I’ve had 4 occurrences in 12 months, 1 with no visual effects and 1 with very minor distortion

LIver problems and blood pressure reduction medication.
I have a non alcoholic fatty liver which has recently registered an average of 53kpa following a recent fibrescan. I have been taking 5mg of Ramapril for high blood pressure over a number of years. My question is: Is there any evidence that blood pressure reducing drugs, such as Ramapril, have any effect

I have had 8 Eylea injections for Wet AMD in my Right eye which has worked very well and I am being kept under observation by the hospital but I was told that Macu Shield tablets may help the Dry AMD in my left eye but I am reluctant to try these as I can't get much information about them. Has anyone

My ast alt ratio is greater than 2 but maybe I'm just in denial but I didn't think I drank enough to have alcoholic liver disease. Now I'm just over analyzing every senerio. Could have been

Cataract complication - YAG laser capsulotomy
Hello all! I know there are several of us who had cataract surgery due to prednisone. In my case they showed up and progressed so quickly they had to be removed less than a year after initially developing. It was shocking when I could not drive at night due to them so I was thrilled when I had an amazing
