Liver Pain
Hi, I pain under my right rib cage, radiating to back and right shoulder. An ultrasound showed fatty liver disease. A Fibroscan score was 6.5 kpa and ELF blood test showed Fibrosis between 2 and 3. My question is that does Fibrosis give you pain. Thanks in advance.

From Prednisone to Cataracts to PCO YAG laser surgery
I know there are several of us who recently had cataract surgery due to prednisone induced cataracts. The rate that I went from a trace of a cataract to almost completely occluded was astounding. Not even a year. I couldn’t drive at night because the blinding light and glare made it impossible. I

Fatty Liver
I have been told I have a liver which is “normal in size with smooth contours, no focal lesions but echogenic texture appears increased” - a further scan showed a “stiffness value of 4.4kPa, and a CAP of 259 dB/m” - how can I evaluate what that means? How can I tell if it is alcoholic fatty liver or

No treatment?
I noticed my eyesight was blurry in mid october last year. I went to my gp who sent me straight away to the eye clinic at hospital. After several tests I was told they were unsure what was wrong and would ring me the next day after they had consulted a specialist. The phone call the next day was upsetting

Liver Cirrhosis
My Wife as just been diagnosed with Cirrhosis at 56 years of age and I am trying to understand which natural diet would best help her, she used to drink quite a lot but said she will never drink again which is positive, I am doing a lot of research and does anyone know if stem cell therapy would be worth

Low iron and connection to ACE inhibitors cough
I had repeat bloods recently and the only issue was slightly low iron resulting in low hemoglobin levels. This can be a result of my meds although I think my mainly plant based diet also contributes. So before I rush o supplements I will be seeing which foods I can increase to increase my iron intake

Clear as Mud
On August 22nd, I was told I had "the beginnings" of cataracts, but not to worry... we'd check them again, in a year. On November 2nd (just 71 days later) I was back at the Ophthalmologist, because I couldn't see! Everything was blurry. Okay, interesting... the cataracts had progressed (at the speed

Ast:alt ratio
Hi. I don’t know if anyone will be able to help me with this. I had a liver function test at the end of December and was told that my alt was raised at 100. Gp told me not to worry and they would repeat the test in 4 weeks. I only managed 2 weeks and went back to gp with severe anxiety as I was worried

cataract on AMD patient
My mother suffers from wet AMD (both eyes) and she has been receiving treatment with Lucentis injections for the past 5 or so years. About 3 months ago she started complaining about some haziness in her eye. She had an OCT a week ago and her Doctor said there was no any blood leaks. Then my mom mentioned

Fibroscan Results
Hi All, My gastroentologist referred me for a fibroscan which I had today after mild discomfort under right rib cage and slightly elevated ALT of 60. My diabetes check was normal.... so no problems there. I am 30 years of age and do not drink alcohol at all. Neither do I take any medication. I am overweight

Hi all, hope you are well on this miserable day? Yesterday I had my elastography/fibroscan, it was radiology gastro consultant that did it and he said ive managed to shift some fat off my liver 😁...but he wouldn't tell me my fibrosis score or see the screen, was very sketchy, would only tell me there

Can Fatty Liver Cause an Enlarged Liver
Hi all, Just as the question says can a fatty liver cause your liver to swell/become enlarged or inflammed? After a visit to my gp she said my liver felt enlarged on percussion. I am not asking for medical advice just opinions on wether an alcoholic fatty liver can cause the liver to swell/enlarge
