buprenorphine sweating
I know hot flashes and sweating can be a side effect of buprenorphine. But mine just started a week or two ago after being on buprenorphine for six months. I have had to increase dosage a bit to compensate for taking steroid eye drops post cataract surgery (about ten more days before I can stop them

cataracts b.c. of long-term steroids
Does anyone know what the symptoms of cataracts developing are, after long-term use of inhaled steroids and/or prednisolone? I've heard cataracts are common symptoms, and I wonder how one knows one is developing them. I've been on Trimbow 172.5 for 6 months and on 2 mg prednisone for 2.5 years; prior

Anoxic/hypoxic brain injury
Hi all, Posting for my partner, her mother went to hospital for cataract surgery (otherwise pretty healthy) she was getting it done under general anesthetic as she has anxiety. She had a 'difficult intubation' in which the tube caused a bleed which sent her into cardiac arrest, it took 10 mins to restart

ER visit vomiting diarrhea severe dehydration, increase pred?
hello everyone, A week ago I woke up at night with severe vomiting for hours and diarrhea. Also chills and being cold. I eventually called 912 and was taken to the ER where they treated me. I had rapid heart rate a bit over 100 and they kept me until it went down. Not sure what caused it, food

Problem with GP
I am at the end of my rope. My GP has put me down to 25mcg of levothyroxine every other day due to a constantly suppressed TSH. I am very unwell and due to have cataract surgery on the 14th. I am still taking 25mcg every day as I had extra tablets. The GP has said my results are normal (already posted

cataract surgery
hi - I am healthy & 65. Very myopic (-10 & -9) with glaucoma in left eye). I have just dropped below DVLA driving limit so consultant is recommending cataract surgery in both eyes (NHS). My question is would it be worth it in terms of quality of vision improvement to go private as I understand that various

Advice on Cataract surgery / narrow angle
Hi all, First I must apologise, I am new to Glaucoma and looking to get some guidance from ideally someone who may have had a similar experience. I am a 44 year old male who was diagnosed with narrow angles following a routine eye exam. My eyesight is pretty good and I only wear reading glasses occasionally

Lab Tests Indicate High Lipase
Has anyone taking prednisone and Actemra had a high lipase on their routine lab tests. I’m on 4 mg prednisone and bi-weekly injections of Actemra for GCA. I get lab tests every month, and the past several months Lipase is high (usually around 60-70). I’ve done a CT scan with the dye, and was told

Cataract surgery
I often read the experiences on CLL shared by our group on HealthUnlocked, and it's reassuring. I was diagnosed with CLL in 2013. After a long period of watch and wait (W&W), I was given only 2 cycles of chemo (BR) in 2019 instead of the planned 6 cycles due to severe side effects. Fortunately, I experienced

Tapering with PMR, Osteoporosis, Gall Bladder (new) and upcoming Cataract Surgery (second eye)
I feel like crap. I don't feel I should be tapering anything at this point. Was just in hospital for 3 days end of April. Gall bladder is shot. I've done something to my back, but since GP can not find xray results from May 10th (eye roll) or blood work from May 14, I'm not sure what's going on with

Cataract surgery due to steroid medication
Hi all, I have Minimal Change Disease and have been on various doses of prednisolone since Nov 22. I've now got cataracts and my right eye needs surgery. I'm 39 and most of the information online seems targeted at older patients. Can anyone offer advice? For instance I'm used to wearing glasses for short-sightedness

neck pain with clicking and popping when I move
I've had clicking and popping and pain in the muscles of my neck for a couple of months . I just figured it was a stiff neck from reading and looking down and it would go away. My PMR is under control at 3.5 mg . Just had a small flare so went up to 8 mg for 6 days. It did not change how my neck felt
