Hi Imoore. I'm afraid we can't advise you with things like that - you need to speak to either your GP or your ophthalmologist and I think the eye clinic should be made aware that you are taking the Apixaban. Good luck.
HiDo ask your doctor as advised by Becky\Just to say i am on Apixaban and have injections in both eyes every 6 weeks If a small blood vessel is touched- as sometimes happens, the red area clears within 24 hours. My clinic's advice is to continue with AC ( Moorfields) but you should check re your individual case
Hi there lmoore, I take 20 mg Rivaroxaban per day ... it’s the same as your Pixaban? I had a couple of bleeds and asked if I should stop it for a couple of days before ....as I do if I need to visit Dentist:/ I usually take my tablet in the morning after my breakfast as it has to be taken after food .. so I always ask my clinic for early appointment, normally they give me 8.30 /9.30 am so I delay taking it beforehand and then take
It an hour afterwards , never had another bleed . I have been having injections every 6 weeks for 4 years and know the name and telephone number of the girl who does the appointments , I explained to the consultant , he had no problems with the short delay .. The office admin. Really were very understanding about appointment times . Good luck x Silky x
I am also on Apaxiban and have been having Eyelea injections in left eye for twelve months. I have only had a little bleeding after two injections. I think my retinal dr just hit a small blood vessel on those two occasions.
