Third Parkrun - got a Personal Worst!
Kit report: short sleeve (5x50) t-shirt - I've been desperate to wear it when running before the end of the challenge (I've worn it a lot for cycling and
aerobics
but never running). Other runners report: there looked like more than last week (which was wet) and they looked pretty fit.

Body combat and the "easy" step toner
I'd expected a normal
aerobics
step, but it turned out to be a step with big squidgy air pads underneath. You can (allegedly) turn a knob in the middle of it to adjust the air flow between the pads and thus the squidginess.

What kind of exercise can a diabetic do?
Other
aerobics
like jogging, bicycling, swimming, gardening, dancing etc are also great ways to get some exercise. Flexibility exercises, also called stretching, help to keep joints flexible and reduce chances of injury during other activities.

Reality check - or is this really me?
50 year old woman with no history of exercising apart from the odd
aerobics
class over the years? Last in all school sports events without exception? Finally down to size 14 jeans from something seriously unmentionable?

Duh, booked the wrong class at the gym, has anyone ever done a 'Body Combat' class?
I've been doing a Combat
Aerobics
class for about 5 weeks now and love it. Then while I was away in Cuba the new time table came out and they changed a few things.

Am I disabled if I have FMS?
Before I was very active going to step
aerobics
but now I'm so weak even lifting a cup sometimes is too hard. Are we considered disabled?? I didn't feel like it but now not so sure.

5x50 tracking query
I thought that the "5K equivalent" was for things that don't propel you forwards, like fitness circuits or
aerobics
or pilates, where you put in a nominal 5K per half hour of alternative activity. If I've got this wrong then I need to claim a few more Ks for my walks ;)

Better results for pain relief with non-enteric coated prednisolone tablets?
I do aqua
aerobics
, Pilates and as much walking, gardening as I can, through gritted teeth! Thought my non-enteric pred tablet experience may be of interest to others who have experienced "steroid resistance" as my rheumatologist calls it. Wish he had thought of it earlier!

Once under control, should we stop medicine?
Follow healthy life style; consume diet prescribed by expert & perform
aerobics
regularly. If you are medically fit, play outdoor games. Yoga (flexibilities, asanas & pranayams) will help you a lot. Try to maintain ideal body weight. If you are overweight, reduce weight by at least 5%.

Weight loss, wedding, and will power
I started to work out 5-6 days a week, got a personal trainer, attended
aerobics
classes, etc. I managed to lose a grand total of only 11lbs in the entire YEAR. I stopped working out entirely, except for walking the dog, and I still have not gotten back into the swing of things.

**SOMETIMES WISHES COME TRUE**
My 20 yrs of fighting cancer and winning is I believe largely down to my use of regular exercise (Isometrics and
Aerobics
).

3rd Comeback of the year - the good, the bad and the ugly
I did not have any coughing fits (unlike at the
aerobics
class I tried last week - the extra 6 days helped a lot there). The Bad: I only managed 15 minutes of Stepping Stones, a distance of 2K which is OK at the very slow 150bpm pace.

Any consensus on exercise for PMR? I am finding that medium exertion with stretching, aerobics or resistance all reliably flare symptoms.
I have had PMR for probably 2-3 years, but diagnosed just 10 weeks ago. Prednisone dose now 10 mg/d from initially 50 mg/d. Problem is, I have pre-existing chronic shoulder pain, neck pain and low back pain from various injuries over the years. I am using the steroid anti-inflammatory effect to not only
