Have you disclosed your self-medication to GP?
Hello Everybody, I've been successfully self-medicating with T4 and T3 or NDT, without GP's knowledge, since 2016. For the 30 years before that I could not get diagnosed for hypothyroidism because I am borderline central hypothyroid and my TSH never got high enough for the NHS diagnosis criteria.

Getting the NDT dosage right
Hello again friends, I'm writing again in the hope that your collective expertise will come up with a solution for me. I switched from Levothyroxine to NDT (NP Thyroid) some time back, and I've been testing every 12 weeks and tweaking the dose trying to get it right. The latest results, which arrived

A message for Admin
Hello Admin. I posted recently and received a message from a scammer on here. You closed the chat thread so I can no longer see it. I was seeking advice on NDT availability. In short, I was contacted by a “member” who directed me to a SCAM website called [site name edited by admin]. I lost over £150

to the prostate bed, plus something to lymph nodes and possibly short term

. I am in UK so would need to get what I can from NHS treatment wise, and have a phone appointment (probably with the PCa nurse) in a couple of days.

If you visited a different time zone (-2hrs) for a week, would you adjust your dosage TIMING to match new time zone, or home time zone?
Would appreciate any advice on timing of taking thyroid meds, if travelling to a different time zone. I will be away for a week where the time zone is 2hrs difference. I normally take my NDT at 6am each day. Will the timing of taking the thyroid meds matter much for this short trip? I just don't know

commencing Armour NDT

Is anyone currently doing TRT or BAT?
I was dx'd stage 4, G8 in 2018, at age 49, after 44 EBRT sessions and one year of
ADT
/lupron, I rejected any further
ADT
after experiencing horrible, life altering side effects and learning about it's actual efficacy.

Anti thyroglobulin Antibody High
I'd a mole removed from my right shoulder blade last November that was initially feared to be cancerous, but thankfully wasn't so. Since then I have an annoying pain in my right upper abdomen. Have had an endoscopy( am awaiting report but consultant didn't seem overly concerned) had a cystoscopy which

Falling asleep troubles getting me down
I’ve come along way but this is getting me down. I cannot sleep before 12, often 1am, Wednesday was after 3am. I’ve taken sleeping tablets for a few years (low dose Amitriptyline) and gawd that helped massively resulting in a good 7hours sleep from midnight. I’m titrating NDT Armour and in January

Anyone in Clinical Trail NRG-GU009?
Not sure I can see that 24 months of Apalutimide concurrent with 24 months of
ADT
isn't overkill with my situation . If I am in the low risk group I could be given 24 months of
ADT
and again, given the results of the ASCENDE trial I am not sure this is not overkill also. What am I missing here.

DI02 Gene test
As if I hadn’t spent sufficient thousands on trying to find the answers I went and did a DI02 test to see whether I had difficulty in converting T4 to T3. Primarily to present my findings to the endo in the hope I may get Liothyronine on the NHS. The result came back saying the TT genotype appears

Help with timing of NDT prior to blood tests
Hello. Would any of you knowledgeable people be able to advise me of the best time to take NDT prior to blood tests. I take Armour 1 grain twice a day. The first is usually around 6am and the second around 3pm. Does the same convention for blood tests when on Levo and Lio apply to NDT? Is 9am still

Trying to get to retirement before HT
Hi All, I'm currently 65 years old. My PSA level before the biopsy was 8.1, and my Gleason Score was 4+4. Fortunately, there are no signs of metastases. Although my treatment hasn't started yet, it's likely that I'll begin radiation therapy in early December. I'm currently overseas and won't return

T3 only blood results
Hello, I moved from a combination of ERFA/T3 last November to exclusively on T3. Initially, I was splitting my doses three times a day and gradually building up from a starting dose of only 10mcg at 4am/ 5mcg at 11am and 5 mcg at 3pm.. I worked up to 30mg at 4am/5mcg at 11am and 10mcg at 3pm. I
