Salvage options?
Hello again, I have a few more questions, to help my husband decide between surgery and brachyboost. For context, he is localized Gleason 9. (1) Is the course of salvage radiation after RP typically the same as it would have been if the initial treatment had been radiation therapy? Or would it require

Surgery or radiation, looking for some advices
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advices for my father. He was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. He probably already had it for a long time. Quite high PSA (way over 20), and spread to multiple lymph nodes. The surgeon said surgery is still doable, followed by radiation. Radiation oncologist

Lupron (
ADT
) Trial. Sounds like good science to me but a Political Mine Field to get US FDA approval. I am surprised they even got FDA approval for the Clinical Trial. In any case I can not find any further info on the internet as to what happened in the trial or to the original drug company.

Treatment Recommendation for father with advanced PCA to regional lymph nodes
Hi All, I was hoping for some feedback on the treatment schedule advised for my father. All the details for his diagnosis are in my bio. We met with the radio oncologist last week and he suggested the following 1. Start cosudex tablets now for 28 days and then stop 2. Start Zoladex injection within

Radiation & Underactive Bladder
Does anyone on this forum have an Underactive Bladder and has also undergone prostate radiation treatments? I will be starting a series of 34 radiation treatments coupled with a 6-month hormone therapy (orgovyx) program. Less than 6 years ago I chose RP over radiation as primary treatment for my PCa

Final Path Report After RALP (Dad - 74, G7- 4+3) , what’s next ?
With the above should we be considering waiting on the PSA results or proactively consider
ADT
+ Radiation as an option. We are now meeting a medical oncologist next week to go over these reports to understand next steps. Thank you again for your help.

BILLY NEEDS HELP
OK troops, after 26 years of surviving post prostectomy, with a Gleason 4/3, 4/4, some 41 rounds of intermittent hormone therapy using lupron, casadex, advodart, I had a break thru last November as my psa went back up mid on cycle. After having my radiation oncologist ignore the realities of this, I

Pancreas problems after RT for prostate
I was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago. Received radiotherapy and hormone therapy. My PSA levels have dropped and progress seems OK. I have also had M.E. and fibromyalgia for over 25 years and, as part of that, IBS. Since starting the hormone therapy and radiotherapy I became more and more

Enzalutamide or Darolutamide
What concerns me is these drugs are used when
ADT
fails, but
ADT
has not yet failed for me. Will taking these dugs early shorten the effectiveness? Guess that question is for the crystal ball :) I thank in advance, anyone who is able to provide me with help in the decision. Xray

Prostate cancer radiotherapy side effects.
I’m a seventy seven year old who had a radical prostatectomy eight years ago. Following one of my regular PSA tests the result showed, after scans in September 2023, a return in the prostate bed and adjacent lymph nodes. Began hormone implants straight away followed by twenty doses of targeted radiotherapy

Letrozole
I saw the oncologist yesterday to discuss radiotherapy and hormone therapy. The plan for radiotherapy is on hold ATM because I have an ongoing issue with a seroma on the breast and underarm. During the meeting she said she would give me a prescription for Letrozole, I told her I wasn't happy to start
