• If you are on
ADT
, your metabolism is slower, so consume fewer calories and exercise more. • Eat plenty of vegetables, especially cruciferous and highly-colored vegetables. • Avoid vitamins, minerals and supplements unless you are deficient. Get your micronutrients from food.

PSA vs Testosterone Nadir for CRPC and Non-CRPC
This makes sense, because CRPC men are less responsive to
ADT
, by definition. https://oamjms.eu/index.php/mjms/article/view/9388

PSA still undectable
it’s been 4 months now since I didn’t have my
ADT
injection ( so 7 months since the last one). Continuing on Apalutamide as a monotherapy atm. Pleased to have experienced Christmas and a 3 week hol in Barbados with no bad news as Decembers have bed. Dodgy in the past.

Pulmonary Node revealed with PET scan not growing
My main question is, since I have been on Eligard for 6 months - and finished that
ADT
last month - could that have interfered with the growth of the node if it is a carcinoma not related to the prostate ? Or could the lack of growth indicate it is a benign node.

Early Results from Transdermal Estrogen PATCH trial - 2
Here's some charts comparing Lupron
ADT
to transdermal estrogen (TDE) therapy for High Risk and Very High Risk men with prostate cancer. The upper chart shows the percentage of men that have been castrated to a testosterone level < 50 ng/dL after 1 month of treatment.

Clinical Trial Considerations??
It has a pretty lengthy list of side effects in addition to the traditional
ADT
treatment. While I want to help the PC cause, the standard treatment plan has a very high likelihood of success even with high-risk G8. The trial uses SBRT and a shorter
ADT
regimen.

Thank you
Yesterday was my one year follow up to my radiation to my prostrate and pelvic area alone with 6 months of
ADT
. Happy for now to report that at this point my radiation oncologist has declared me a success story and I am now just on follow up.

Life Expectancy
Initially, he underwent radiation for a few spots on his ribs and immediately began
ADT
/Xtandi treatment for two years. His PSA dropped to 0.001, prompting his medical oncologist to recommend a medication vacation. For two years, he had PSA tests every three months, and everything seemed stable.

restricted urinary flow
Flomax is incompatible with anti- depress and sleep meds, I have to take to alleviate
ADT
side effects, and takes a month to work. Appreciate words of medical wisdom, other than "go with the flow" :)

Brain lesion
It’s just confusing that after
ADT
works to remove all the symptoms including bone pain from bone mets, my dad was diagnosed with brain lesion after an MRI since he had mild stroke symptoms(slurred speech).

Things I Like About ADT
Eventually Darolutamide and Taxotere chemo would be added to bring that PSA down to 0.0, but in doing the obvious math the
ADT
clearly did all the heavy lifting. Bottom line, most of us are extremely fortunate to have a cancer that responds well to
ADT

ART Favorable Prognosis Adjuvant Androgen Deprivation Therapy A-ADT after Radiotherapy
I was also on
ADT
a total of 21 months reaching a nadir of 0.001 for some months...based on this study it should improve my odds of having better outcomes. I am now 9 months into my
ADT
vacation; dont know how this will develop.

not necessary due to double radiation. Highest pretreatment PSA was 4.4. I go to the PCP for a few other issues and he runs a PSA each time he does a blood work.
