Chronic pain and family
Talking about our problems is at greatest
addiction
. Break the habit. Talk about your joys…. famous quote by Rita schiano I, personally agreed to this to some extent, but in case of chronic illness ( I read this in context to chronic pain patients articles ) I can’t agree to it.

Anyway so today's my first day of runner ex smoker again... just ran a short 3 km, my lungs nearly exploded while doing it which was a great reminder why I won't be smoking again...but feel great now having completed the 3km...I hope this might help someone who may be struggling with smoking or any

Ativan Update
She said that a small daily dose of Ativan at my age (62) and considering my health...I have a progressive auto immune disease, would be fine, When I expressed my concern over the
addiction
aspect of the drug, she said ‘if it gives you quality of life then so be it’. Thoughts?

I had mentioned to him that I am willing to risk
addiction
to benzos as my life is truly unmanageable now. He looked at me as if I was nuts...I do not blame him but I wanted to say, ‘walk a mile in my shoes’ before you judge me.

I’m a victim of the opioid
addiction
even though I was never an addict. I had major depressive disorder and made some major charting mistakes. So, they terminated me and told me to get help. If we weren’t living in this time of opioid epidemic, I would’ve probably just got suspended.

ALWAYS get a second opinion
They all have their biases, such as
addiction
and recovery doctors will look at you as druggie first, psych patient second. There is a lot of misinformation out there. And many prescribe not based on what's best for you, but also what is best for them in terms of their licenses and reputations.

Is this the start of an addiction?
7th consolidation run today and knocked 2mins 10seconds off my 5k time (33’ 43”). Went out without my phone (deliberately) and quite enjoyed it. Always struggled with my running shoes since I bought them in full lockdown in week 1, they seem to be pushing my ankle sideways which is starting to be a

If you've ever been caught up in
addiction
then you know what I mean. I feel like a horrible person and I just want this pain to end.

I contracted it during my teenage
addiction
to heroin. I got rid of the
addiction
some 25 years ago but couldn't get the treatment - until now :) I am super excited it is available in my country now and there is hope I will finally get rid of the hell that lasted for too long....

Ideas for my Twisted thoughts?
I did self kick the opioid
addiction
developed during this period. Perhaps I replaced it with food. Any cerebral trains of thought I might explore? Ideas beyond the basics? Thank you, brilliant members :)

Walking on eggshells
I walk around on eggshells because my son has severe anxiety and
addiction
problems. He refuses To get help And thinks everyone else is the problem. He continues to smoke pot but we know it makes his anxiety worse once he’s off. I’m so depressed and want him out of my house ASAP. He’s 22.

Loss of my friend
Recently in the last year she went into rehab for alcohol
addiction
and PTSD. I went from seeing her at least once a month to once every couple months. Before she left I always hugged her tight and told her how much I loved her. The last time I saw her was January 29th.

Once we stop we realise that we never actually needed them and the
addiction
was just that. Our mind told us we needed them to stay calm, to celebrate, to grieve, for stress, to do everything but the truth is we don't. If we conquer the mind we conquer the
addiction
.

UK RLS sufferers this is for you.
Buprenorphine is a very superior drug it hangs onto very few receptors in the brain which is very helpful when it comes to
addiction
. It is in the same category as Methadone however a lot more friendly. Half-life is 24 hours which is great for the all day suffers like myself.
