Is this the start of an addiction?

7th consolidation run today and knocked 2mins 10seconds off my 5k time (33’ 43”). Went out without my phone (deliberately) and quite enjoyed it.

Always struggled with my running shoes since I bought them in full lockdown in week 1, they seem to be pushing my ankle sideways which is starting to be a problem as distance is increasing.

So I’ve booked a proper gait analysis tomorrow morning.

That's exciting - going for a gait analysis. I need to do that too someone soon. Well done for running without music or Laura!

Well done! What an achievement knocking that much time off 😳 !

I felt so much more supported after I got my new shoes after gait analysis! Exciting

I must be lucky as I've not needed a gait analysis, so far. My brother in his running days eventually had to have inserts, but I think that was before gait analysis was invented.

Regarding running being an addiction, some might call it that. I refer it to being a way of life.

When to the running shop and didn’t need the gait analysis, the guy in the shop wasn’t keen as I’ve never run on a treadmill. However he took one look at my stance and knew exactly what was wrong and what type of shoes I needed.

Even just stood still they’re like night and day compared to the last pair, nothing wrong with them but they’re not right for my feet.

Guess I need to start a new thread with pictures? 😂
