Vitamin D
New study below. This is a horrible paper. It takes as a given that vitamin D increases PCa risk (see yesterday's post on vitamin D & mortality). & then piggybacks on the discredited belief that testosterone [T] causes PCa, to ask: Does D increase T? Indeed, there is an association, & thus we have

Vitamin D deficiency.
Hey everyone! I recently had a bunch of blood tests done by my doctor. I had my vitamin D, B-12, my iron, and my Thyroid tested. All have come back normal except my vitamin D, and possibly my iron. They did not mention my iron, so I sent my doctor a follow up message about that. My vitamin D level is

Skin cancers and area where I live.
I have had, (too numerous to count), basal cell, squamous, melanoma, even a leiomyosarcoma tumor on the top of my nose removed. It has come to be, I am sorry to say, a regular norm for me. Yes I do not avoid the sun but try to be smart about it. I live near the beaches in NW Florida and have summer

Coming off Statins
I am 61 years old have had a stent fitted 14 years ago and recently had a CABGx2. When I had the CABG I hoped to come off the cocktail of drugs that I had been taking for the last 14 years particular statins and beta blockers. (Beta blockers tend to give me side effects so the cardiologist reduced

Post Thyroidectomy cold and high bp
Anyone heard of this? My thyroid tests are normal my ferritin is I think low at 29 and I'm in vitamin d3 from dr for deficiency. I was wondering if the high bp is connected to my thyroid and came across this. I also feel I have water retention with my weight gain http://www.wilsonssyndrome.com/thyroid-and-fluid-retention

Vitamin 3D supplements
Hi everyone, I would need your precious advice on Vitamin D3 supplements. A blood test I had before last summer showed that I had Vit 3D deficiency. I repeated the blood test when I was in Italy beginning of August, which confirmed the previous results. The doctor there said that, as I am still quite

Hi folks, I have just been found to be positive for IGM Cardiolipin, but not for the other cardiolipin antibody, and I'm due to be re-tested in few weeks' time. I have also been identified as being vitamin D deficient. My last blood test showed by calcium levels to be within range, so I am now due

Success! Bowen and Dexascan
Hi everyone, I had a bit of a dip after the festivities and reluctantly considered upping from 8mg to 10mg pred as I seemed to be very lethargic and unenthusiastic, with headaches and general aches. However, yesterday I got busy organising myself into positive outcomes - had a first Bowen therapy session
