ADCAL and RISEDRONATE
good morning - a quick question. Should I be reducing these meds also as I reduce the pred? My prednisolone is down from 15mg to 2.5 mg after 30 months but the others have stayed at the same dose (Adcal @3000 mg daily and Risedronate @ 35mg weekly) - I'd really love that extra half hour in bed back

Vitamin supplements
Sort of related to my last post and in case my next telephone appointment with docs is not totally productive do people have a preferred make/type of vitamin D (
Adcal
D3
?) K2 and anything else sensible to be taking? Also what strength? There seems to be a huge choice on the market.

Mediterranean diet
There was a question posted recently about diet and how to ensure that you are getting enough nutrients from food. I thought my answer might be useful to others, so here is much of information that I posted and a bit more in case anyone missed it. I attended a course on the microbiome (gut bacteria)

Vitamin D3 -PCa & Covid. Additional studies revealed 9 of 10 COVID patients deaths could have been prevented with 20,000 to 60,000 units
D3 is really good. "Additional studies also revealed nine out of 10 COVID-19 deaths could have been prevented if people had adequate Vitamin D levels, the FOX 26 report said." "Dr. Pete Osborne told FOX 26 - So if you're hospitalized for COVID, they're automatically putting you on between 20,000 and

Biphosphonates, yey or ney
Also asked about whether I should be on Vit D-(
Adcal
D3
) and Vit K2. No problem with the Pred prescription, assuming it what I asked for, quite agreed with me regarding the Vits, but no prescription.

Help with lab results appreciated ... and needed
Happy Solstice! I’m re posting my lab results, hoping someone can advise me. Should I up Levo? Should I take a stronger dosage of iron and vitamins? I was feeling better with upping Levo and changing brands, but I've been getting colds, then herpes and a cold again, non stop... Any advice? Thanks

Vit D levels
Afternoon all Had some of my blood tests back and the only abnormal one at the moment is the Vit D, which I had thought might be low, but is this an AdCal job or something else needed? Serum total 25-OH vit D level 39.4 nmol/L 50 - (normal) Many thanks, as always. Peter

Inflammation dampening??
Good evening everyone, it has taken me nearly 5 years to get to 5mg for the 2nd time. First time I've dropped without any side effects 2 weeks ago. Then 3 nights ago I suddenly found I can get up easily from an armchair during the evening whereas I've always been very stiff (no pain though). I'm trying

Second DEXA Scan Results
In 2018 I had a DEXA scan which showed osteopaenia. NOF was -2, total hip -1.3 and spine -1.9. A few weeks after that scan which, fortunately was done on my left side, I broke my right NOF running a marathon (no fall, classed as a high impact event) and joined this forum. I did leave hospital with

Advice about Lab results appreciated and Herpes Zoster, sign of vitamin deficiency?
Hello again, I’ve changed Levo brands between previous, early September test and most recent one. Now on Evthyroxin 88 and twice a week 100. I was feeling much better, more energetic, until I got first a cold then shingles, herpes zoster, a few weeks ago. I’m now slowly recovering; pain almost gone

Pain in ribs at night
I'm new to this hub and this is my first post. I have recently been waking during the night with pain under ribs at right side, and often extending around the back. I have to sit straight up for an hour or more until it subsides, as lying down makes it worse. I am guessing maybe Biliary Colic. I
