Should I be reducing these meds also as I reduce the pred? My prednisolone is down from 15mg to 2.5 mg after 30 months but the others have stayed at the same dose (Adcal @3000 mg daily and Risedronate @ 35mg weekly) - I'd really love that extra half hour in bed back on a Wednesday morning in the depths of winter!!!

Thank you DorsetLady - I have had a couple of DEXA scans in last decade which show bone density to be fine, one of those was a year after PMR diagnosis. I take Vit D regularly and generally feel strong - I lifted a washing machine into and out of the car boot this morning with my husband's help! The GP who diagnosed and was very knowledgeable about PMR, has since left the practice. It is virtually impossible to get an appointment at the moment for general medical queries, and like so many others I feel like I'm wasting their time, when I feel well, and they're under such pressure.
I therefore appreciate the advice from forum members.
You need to know your bone density status - it isn't a case of reducing like pred, it is all or nothing and if you are on risendronate, you need the AdCal (doesn't apply the other way round, you can take just AdCal). Speak to your doctor about a dexascan - did you have one to start with before starting the risendronate?
