You asked in your previous post:
Should I up Levo? Should I take a stronger dosage of iron and vitamins? I was feeling better with upping Levo and changing brands, but I've been getting colds, then herpes and a cold again, non stop... Any advice?
The aim of a Hypo patient on Levo only, generally, is for TSH to be 1 or lower with FT4 and FT3 in the upper part of their reference ranges.
Assuming that you followed our advice for thyroid testing, i.e. early morning test, nothing to eat or drink except water beforehand, and last dose of Levo 24 hours before test, your FT4 is 46.15% through range and your FT3 is 45.56% through range so they are nicely balanced showing good conversion of T4 to T3.
There is room to increase your Levo if you feel the need.
As for your nutrient results, can you tell us what supplements you take and when you took last doses before the test? FYI, if you take iron it should have been stopped 7 days before the test, if you take Biotin or a B Complex that too should have been stopped 7 days before the test.
SeasideSuzie,
Yes, re following your advice for thyroid testing. Increasing or not the Levo is the question I can’t figure out an answer for yet. Since I switched to Evthyrox, I don’t feel totally incapacitated when I take 100 (as opposed to other brands). So I’m slowly taking it more often, 3 to 4 days a week, and 88 on the others. Don’t feel any difference.
I stopped iron 7 days before test, unfortunately I can’t remember for the life of me if I stopped Vit. B as well, a dark hole, though I have in the past.
I take Methyl B Complex from Lamberts. Which includes methylfolate, B6, B12 as Methylcobalamine, Biotin and more. (Please don’t ask me to list the ten other ones, in tiny script and in Greek… !) It seems all inclusive, at any rate.
- Vitamin D3, 1000 i.u. 25mcg & Vitamin K2 90 mcg (from Lamberts) & Magnesium citrate: 200 mg from Now.
- Gentle Iron, Solgar, 20 mg & Vitamin C 1000 i.e. 1000 mg from Now.
One a day of all the above.
Something’s not adequate since, as of today, my herpes is acting up after two weeks, and I thought it was over. Only itching for now. Hoping it stops there because it was very painful.
On the bright side: I wish you a Merry Christmas, SeasideSuzie, and thank you so much for your help

Hopefully you did stop the B Complex for a few days before the test, if you continued then it can give false results due to the Biotin it contains as this affects results when Biotin is used in the testing procedure (which most labs do).
You haven't given a result for folate which is quite important as it works with B12.
The amont of methylfolate in the Lamberts Methyl B Complex seems to be 200mcg and B12 as methylcobalamin 300mcg. These are both on the lowish side, unless your folate is already high it would be better at 400mcg methylfolate, and your B12 - assuming the unit of measurement is ng/L or pg/ml (these are both the same) then your level is only just over the recommended minimum of 550 and would be better around 900-1000, so a bit more B12 in the supplement would be better. I wouldn't suggest taking 2 tablets because one tablet contains 20mg B6 and I wouldn't recommend taking 40mg as for long term use it's suggested not to take more than 10mg B6.
Vit D - I assume unit of measurement is ng/ml, in which case the level recommended by the Vit D Society and Grassroots Health is 40-60 so you are within that range, you could increase dose of D3 if you wish to get nearer the top of the range.
As for iron, serum iron is recommended to be 55%-70% through range (higher end for males) and ferritin is recommended to be half way through range. I can't comment on your supplement, I don't make any recommendations due to the need to know if there is iron deficiency or anaemia and if so then supplementation should be prescribed by a GP and regular monitoring done to ensure serum iron doesn't go too high.
You can help raise your level by eating liver regularly, maximum 200g per week due to it's high Vit A content, also liver pate, black pudding, and including lots of iron rich foods in your diet
