Wk4r2 - reminder to self:follow the plan
Today I ran wk4r2 and found it considerably harder than run 1. I have myself to blame. I decide to deviate from the plan and yesterday instead of having a rest day i decided I would just get on the treadmill mill and run in my impatience to progress. I ran for 13 minutes though felt I could probably

Resolor/ prucalopride experience
Hi I was prescribed Resolor 2mg 1 tablet 2 weeks ago. I had side effects for about 2/3 days. Headache, nausea and then the side effects wore off and around day 4 they stopped working. I’ve continued to take them as they worked fantastically the first couple of days and I’m praying for a miracle. Last

Day 8 champix
So day 8 today and onto the 1mg tablets. I have decided to just take one a day as I’m really quite slim and tiny. I have to say that in terms of side effects today I feel super spaced out. It’s a bit weird but I have read that other people have felt like that and it has passed after a couple of weeks

No more Linaclotide!
I have been on Linaclotide for 20 months and it has been brilliant, life changing. I now cannot get hold of these tablets, manufacturing problem, I believe. Can anyone recommend a different medicine that they have used which has been successful? I am struggling with prucalopride! Since not having Linaclotide

Questions to ask consultant slow transit constipation Rectocele medication and management
Hi I have managed to get an appointment for Thursday with my consultant. My gp told me there were problems with slow transit and prolapse so I’m wondering what questions I should be asking? I feel like my problem is getting worse and although I’m guessing they will offer bio feedback (he mentioned this

Prucalopride and Depression
Hi, Has anyone experienced worsening depression while taking prucalopride (Resolor, Resotran, Motegrity)? I’ve been on it for almost two months and while it does help immensely with constipation, I’ve also lost my motivation, I feel hopeless and sad all the time and I cry a lot. I just don’t feel

UK Supply of Linaclotide / Constella
Hi, I'm really struggling to get my Script filled in the UK due to shortages. I'm living the the north of england. My GP doesn't know an alternative and isn't clued up on the drug at all. I have IBS-C, fiber products make it worse. And I can eat max doses of laxative without movement. If I stop using

Complication during ablation
Hi folks I had my third attempt at radio frequency ablation last Wednesday. (I had number one 15 yr ago as radio and cryogenic one 9 months ago) Although this reduced my AF episodes I am aging too and want to reduce the medication, instead of increasing it, which is happening at the moment. Unfortunately

Coping strategy for very stressed mummy pls ?
I was wondering how parents have been coping with constipation and constant wetting? My daughter is 4 1/2 and has been constipated since birth. We were ignored by the doctors for 3 years and now under a consultant and a nurse. However i rarely get appointments and am left alone to manage medication

Other times... I want to be

Continence & School (and a medical procedure)
Two things to ask advice on today - 1. Just met with school and they are asking for our son to go back into pullups rather than pads due to accidents and frequency of loo use (4 times an hour sometimes). We are just about to ask for an EHCP assessment so need to balance minimizing his needs by using

Delightful hospital experience at Endocrinology
Hi everyone, this morning I was lucky to see a fabulous Endocrinologist. He was a very charming and excitable Greek gentleman who had to keep standing up to explain with his arms what he though was going on with me. He is writing to Rheumatology because he doesn't think it is right that they haven't

First FET and progynova side effects
Hello, started our first FET a few weeks ago and have been on progynova for a week. I was told it should make me feel better but I feel like I’m losing my mind. I feel so so low and have had a headache or migraine every day. I’m juggling a ton of other life stuff (selling our flat and moving, deadlines

Colonoscopy
Hi everyone. I’m having my first ever colonoscopy next Wednesday 22nd. I have an afternoon appointment. I’m really nervous (I suffer with anxiety anyway) about taking the moviprep solution more than the procedure itself. I’m going to take it with Lucazade and ice and through a straw. Can anyone give

A ramble about a run, consequences of, subsequent rest and another run!
Last Monday I did my first 10k, pb times etc. And of course I was super happy. 2 days later I had some aches that niggled and I felt I’d best not ignore them. I’d torn a calf muscle at Christmas and although not troublesome since, I was now definitely aware of its existence again as it felt really tight
