Post cryo-ablation day 9
Hi All, Well it’s nine days now and although I’m only having the occasional ectopic beat I’m still feeling pretty tired. Had several more visual migraines since the first on day one but none today. However this morning, feeling pretty good I went out for a gentle walk of about a half a mile and then

Life beyond graduation
This post is for Floss, as she asked us to share a bit of our stories to date. So this is just a progress report I suppose. I originally started only with the C25k app on my own and stumbled upon this lovely supportive group, who did not mind the odd Canadian. I have been hooked ever since. My running

Desogestrel
Just had my first consultation and have swapped from microgygnon to desogestrel. Been told to try this for 4 months and if it doesn’t help the next step would be the key hole surgery. Anyone had experience on this tablet? Did it stop periods completely?

Lincs Pain management changes
You may not know this as from May 2019 the Pain Management Services have been privatised. Pain Management Workshops are your first stage. I have just had my 22nd Epidural Steroid Injection and to be honest it is my last one. They work but you should only have a maximum of 25 in your lifetime (consultant

Do NOT do this at home
Seriously. I cannot stress this enough. If you are working your way through your first C25K plan right now, DO NOT DO what I just did. I’ve been running for a few years now and I took a gamble and everything thing was fine (but see farther down the post) I had a hairdresser’s appointment this afternoon

Headache after ovidrel trigger
Hi ladies, I triggered Friday with 250ui Ovidrel and whilst my tummy pains are getting better, I am left with massive headaches (which feel worse than the mood swings that I also have...) . Did you experience something similar? If yes, how long did it last and is there anything that helped you?

Head injury 2004
I got a bad head injury from a car accident in 2004 and lately noticing mood and terrible anger swings. Also isolating myself. Is it advisable to take some sort of medication to relax that anxiety?

Coping with a sudden loss
Recently my Dad suddenly died from a brain hemorrhage. We were on holiday and he just collapsed. We later discovered he had MoyaMoya disease. For a period of time it looked like he was going to get better but then he had a second bleed and was in a coma. It was all very traumatic and I'm struggling to

Yes, I have a brain injury, but no, I am not thick.
Just need a quick vent..... Today I had a steroid injection in my thumb at my local hospital. Very efficient lady did it, very little pain, very pleased. I won't bore you with the details, but I had to explain to her that I have great difficulties with organising my thoughts, remembering stuff, planning

Giant thoracic disc prolapse and thoracic surgery
Hi there. I am not sure exactly how this site works or if I am posting this in the right place? I posted this weeks ago under neuro support but have not had any replies so thought I'd try here?! I have recently been diagnosed with severe spinal cord compression as a result of a thoracic disc prolapse

Long time, no post...
I've been a little bit absent recently... on the IC, I'm afraid, both from running and from life in general having aggravated my Achilles in the Hateful Hokas and split up with my partner. My choice (on both counts actually!) But still hurts. Anyhow, decided I couldn't just not do anything so joined
