Another setback - back to Week 3
Another week, another stumbling block. Having being stopped three times due to illness since I began this back in March, 10 days ago I suffered spinal pain which put me out of action again. Each day that went past made me more and more anxious that my progress was being undone. I had been on a roll

Life is changing now
This made me cry its by my son but I changed a bit so he's not recognised. It sums up that this is in pause of national life but safety is paramount. I just thought to share words of wisdom. "Today was one of the toughest emails I’ve ever sent... Scouts are prepared, we are resilient, we are careful

IBS - LINACLOTIDE
Been diagnosed with IBS C since december 2019... been on linaclotide everyday since, the pain side of it has been fab as I very rarely unless I am due on my period get pains. Just wandered what things do people have for breakfast after taking the linaclotide capsules? As I cant seem to find anything

Experiences of amphotericin?
Small person is off to 5* on Friday for her fortnight of the ‘good stuff’, a little earlier than planned although mostly ok overall, but with the addition of amphotericin alongside IV colomycin and piptaz. I’ll post a proper update soonish, as there’s been quite a bit going on even with lockdown happening

Yikes- it’s like waiting for an unexplored bomb to go off!
I’ve got colonoscopy procedure tomorrow- to say I’m anxious is an understatement- I’ve taken the two senna tablets this morning at 8.30 but so about 40 mins ago - so far.... nothing! I’m dreading the onset of the diarrhoea... helllllp!

W1R3 - completed!
Got up and did my run 3 today, which I should have done yesterday but got too sore on my long walk (see previous post). I am an idiot for two reasons, one - I didn't stretch before this one, and two - I thought I was on my final run so went all out and then found out I had one more run to do so had to

Zombie-like, has anyone experienced episodes of this?
Has anyone experienced episodes of becoming 'zombie-like'? I have post concussion syndrome. I am a single mother with a 6, 4 and 2 year old. My 6yo has PTSD which has to be constantly managed. It is just me and my children 24 hours a day 365 days a year. My last 'zombie' episode last 7hours and I obviously

Glycerine suppository
After a severe bout of diarrhoea I was unable to go the toilet for the following 6 days. For the first timeI used a glycerine suppository which had almost immediate affect. As my IBS seems to be caused by anxiety about needing to use a toilet outside my home I wonder whether it would be a good idea

Running in hail???
Ugh, had actually been really psyched up to move on to W4R1, having really surprised myself with getting through W3. I went for my first run in the rain the other day, but that was just a light sprinkle and it was actually quite refreshing, and dare I say, I think I actually enjoyed myself. However,

Week 5 complete
Those 20 minutes were hard, but I didn’t stop - legs were shaking a bit at the end but walking calmed them down. Happy to have Week 5 under my belt & hoping the rain stops for long enough on Wednesday when I start week 6.

I owe you one, ShelWhitt XX
The dearest of memories can spring from the most surprising sources. ShelWhitt's kind response to a message of mine has stirred so many memories for me... I am beyond grateful that, even during these arduous times, I have been allowed to contemplate the little things that sustained me while I was growing
