Hidden ovaries
I’ve just had an ultrasound and the sonographer couldn’t find my ovaries. I haven’t had surgery to remove them and I’m wondering if they could be scarred in place behind my uterus, which would account for the extreme pain I’ve been in. Anyone had anything like this? I have had an MRI and waiting for

I have finally agreed to go ahead with a full
abdominal
hysterectomy
after my last meeting with my gynaecologist..no other drug treatments so this is the final option. Go for a pre-op this week and on the waiting list so expect to get my date 12-16 weeks time.

Diane’s slow return
Hi Everyone. Just to let you all know, that I am planning a slow return back to work, later today. Not back in my office yet, so relying on my little iPad for now. Unfortunately, I suffered a major bleed following my recent hysterectomy, resulting in anaemia and protein loss, leaving me extremely weak

Endometriosis in the bowel symptoms??
Hi ladies could any of you kindly advise me of the symptoms you have with Endometriosis within/on the bowel? I have stage 4 endo and ando and have been told I have IBS but I’m convinced it’s endo related as I’ve tried gluten free and Fodmaps and many herbal and traditional medications but nothing seems

Does it ever get any easier?
Hi guys, So I’ve posted on here before in regards to pain, treatment and generally feeling quite down in relation to this whole endometriosis saga! I won’t get into the back story but I’ll give a little oversight in relation to recent events. I was based in London and ended up having the most amazing

6dpo hysterectomy + excision surgery
I’m 6dpo. It was in my surgeons words ‘very complex and difficult ‘ surgery. 14 months ago I had 5 hour excision surgery for level 4/5 endometriosis rectovaginal and rectum also on my uterine tubes. Adenomyosis was pretty much confirmed. So this this surgery was to remove uterus, tubes and cervix, leave

Living in agony
Does anyone have any experience with severe vaginal atrophy in their 70 . My mum has been given every oestrogen cream and pesseries around . No one seems to want to help her . She’s in agony and sits rocking in her chair , crying and unable to have a life x does anyone know if a hysterectomy would work

Mucinous Borderline Ovarian Tumour

Post catheter removal
I’m sure it’s fine but need to reassure myself. Had hysterectomy and bowel shave but no bladder involvement. My catheter was removed next day and even though I peed I didn’t feel the need to go! I’m peeing out of habit or if I’ve got stomach ache. Does it take a while for sensation to come back?

Patch of numbness post spinal
I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on Wednesday under spinal. I got my movement back quickly and was able to weightbear a few hours after. It’s been 2 nights and I’ve noticed I’ve got a numb area around my left thigh. It’s more of a skin numbness but feels really weird! Anyone else had this?

3 years after surgery
Hi Ladies, Just wanted to post an update nearly 3 years since I had a total hysterectomy and both ovaries removed and feel fantastic. It’s not all been plain sailing for me I had to have vertical incision due to the size of my degenerated fibroid mass I had a squashed kidney, my ovaries were removed

First day of treatment for Endometriosis and PMDD (Synarel HRT)
Hi guys, Today is my first day of treatment for PMDD and Endometriosis. I’ve been prescribed with Synarel nasal spray and an oestrogen HRT which is supposed to simulate a hysterectomy, if I react well the doctor will go ahead and give me one. I know you shouldn’t, but of course I’ve been online reading

Binder or no binder?
Did anyone use an
abdominal
binder after total
hysterectomy
surgery for support? If so, was it NHS approved? Any recommendations? Have operation in just over a weeks time.

Adenomyosis and lower back pain.
I’m so relieved to have found this group after 3 years of undiagnosed increasingly bad pelvic & lower back pain. My story....After many GP & gynae appointments (transvaginal ultra sounds, hysteroscopy)I pushed for a laparoscopy to rule out Endometriosis on my other organs & found I had Adenomyosis.
