I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy on Wednesday under spinal. I got my movement back quickly and was able to weightbear a few hours after. It’s been 2 nights and I’ve noticed I’ve got a numb area around my left thigh. It’s more of a skin numbness but feels really weird!
Anyone else had this?

I had an op where they had to stick a large patch on my upper thigh and had taken all the hair off when they removed it. That left me with a mysterious sensation which I only made sense of when talking to the nurse a week later. Maybe you had something similar?
Hello ccsmith, I hope you are doing well. I had previous oocyte retrieval not hysterectomy and I got numbness in the same area of my left thigh and I was very upset with it early after surgery as I thought it would never be back to normal. Surprisingly, it now disappeared after 2 years. I no more feel anything wrong. My only advice is that try to ignore it and if you are on multivitamins especially vitamin B complex, this would be very useful for your nerves.
Hope you're otherwise recovering well.I had this in left groin after extensive excision surgery, particularly in that area, although it started as very tender then turned numb, the ward just said when I rang them 2 days after, that it was all the positions they put you in during op!! but I knew it wasn't that, it lasted months and it can only have been nerve damage or aggravation. It will go basically!
