6dpo hysterectomy + excision surgery

I’m 6dpo. It was in my surgeons words ‘very complex and difficult ‘ surgery. 14 months ago I had 5 hour excision surgery for level 4/5 endometriosis rectovaginal and rectum also on my uterine tubes. Adenomyosis was pretty much confirmed. So this this surgery was to remove uterus, tubes and cervix, leave ovaries as I’m only 33. It was expected to be complicated due to bowel symptoms and pain I had been experiencing, was told to prepare for a colostomy bag. When I woke up again after 5 hours I was told again the disease was aggressive but not found on my rectum/rectovaginal, it had basically sucked my bladder, uterus, uterine tubes, ovaries all together in one mass of diseased flesh. I stayed 2 nights although I was told I could go less then 24 hours after but my pain was too much and had to travel back to Brighton from Portsmouth hospital. I’m still experiencing A LOT OF PAIN, plus my incision in my belly button (4 incision sites) is smelly, weeping and has a warm hard lump just underneath but before the lower incision site. I’m not sure if I’m taking the right painkillers or if I need to seek help. Feeling very down and frustrated also to be told my endometriosis is aggressive and due to the nature of my operations I’m likely always to be in a degree of pain .. does anyone have any advice?

Hi, sorry to hear your going through this. Would it be worth calling the hospital or nhs direct for advice on the incision sites and medication?
