I’m sure it’s fine but need to reassure myself. Had hysterectomy and bowel shave but no bladder involvement. My catheter was removed next day and even though I peed I didn’t feel the need to go! I’m peeing out of habit or if I’ve got stomach ache.
Does it take a while for sensation to come back?

I am 3 weeks post hysterectomy and have exactly the same, this is really reassuring as I was beginning to think it was in my head! I had to have my catheter put back in 2 days after my op and was sent home with it in to rest my bladder, but it started to bypass and I was taken back in to hospital. They then removed the catheter and as long as I went the toilet I was discharged although I still had no sensation. I went back to my GP who said it could take time and that my discharge from hospital stated that my sensation had returned, he was really annoyed as this was false. I do feel I'm being fobbed off slightly by everyone. Are you finding you have bladder weakness too or any bowel issues?
No bladder weakness but I go regularly and if my pain increases. I have no urges to go at all & it’s still uncomfortable as I start to go. I haven’t opened my bowels yet and not feeling that great. I have no urges there either but feel nauseated and weird down there!
I think it does take time and I suppose the bladder would of been moved around in surgery a bit so maybe bruised and needs time to settle 🤷♀️
