When I had my Hysterectomy back in 2000, they found cysts and fibroids. Thus, they had to remove that ovary. Could this be happening with my Kidney and I just haven't been told to have a Cat Scan to find out? I wonder if I should tell my Neph about this.

Didn't your nephrologist take a full medical history including surgeries?

Any competent physician should get your history before the first appointment. If you didn't inform them ask to amend your history.

I had the Hysterectomy at a different hospital back in 2000. I can't ever remember the bitch's name anymore. (This doc should of had me follow up with a Malpractice Suit)

I don't even have the paperwork, hospital notes, etc any longer. I do have a Health History list - will have to make sure that I give it to her on the 27th. Not sure that I have already, but don't think so.

Hi,

Doubtful there is a connection but ask your doctor. Your medical history should show the surgery and results.

Will have to contact the hospital I think. It has been so long. My daughter went to her when she was pregnant with her oldest. I will ask her if she remembers the last name. I know, for some unusual reason, that her first name was Mary.

The hospital Medical Records office will have all records under your name. The doctors will be listed.

HI,

This is something your doctor's office should be doing for you. How long ago was it.? Before you go though all the effort, check with your regular doctor to see if they have the info in your record and if there would be any connection to your current medical situation. Most EMRs (Electronic Medical Records) go back at least to 2000 or later. I have info from 1980's in mine but I have been with the same organization.

If they do not have them electronically, the doctor can order the paper info and put it in your record.

Not what you're looking for?
