Hello I was diagnosed May 2015 Ovarian Carcinosarcoma stage 1B I was lucky I caught it when I did, 6 months prior my Ob Gyn was more concerned with fibroid tumors than a complex cyst on my ovary at the time it was almost 6 cm I went to the emergency room 6 moths later when I wasn’t feeling better to find a 15x12x11 cm tumor on my left ovary that lead me to md Andersen cancer center (love them) I’ve been great full but this past year coming up on my 5th year I started having problems with hip for last 10 mnths doctors told me it’s arthritis (my insurance wouldn’t allow me to have scans because it wasn’t medically necessary) long story short I changed my Medicare insurance I can now go back to Md Andersen but my questions are embarrassing does itching hip pain and bleeding, nauseous, constipation plus diarrhea it can’t make up its mind also indigestion/heartburn constantly and down to one meal a day and if then I bloat up so much it’s uncomfortable equate to a recurrence?? I go Monday to see my doctor but I’m scared and can’t sleep! Anyone have anything similar (yes I was in Cipro for UTI monistat for yeast infection it didn’t cure my symptoms the bleeding scared me the worst I had a full radical hysterectomy with 137 biopsy done please help!!

BlueQ, I hope your Monday appt is with a gyn/onc. If you are bleeding it might be a good idea to go to the emergency room. Regarding your hip, an xray can reveal whether you might need a hip replacement. (Four years of chemo ruined my joints.) Keep advocating firmly and aggressively for yourself until the root causes for each symptom have been determined. Do not allow any doctor to dismiss your symptoms. Good luck. ❤
BlueQ, we all understand your anxiety so much.
Hopefully Monday will give you some answers, and even if they’re not necessarily the ones you want to hear, at least you know what’s happening and appropriate actions can be started. Any bleeding needs investigating and you are taking the right steps to find its source. My early diagnosis came about because of an unexplained vaginal bleed.
My joints just aren’t the same since my chemo, age takes it’s toll too, but I hope your scans give you causes that can be rectified or at least we’ll managed.
I think that once we’ve had our diagnosis we are so much more body aware and if there’s any upside to our diagnosis it’s that we catch things much earlier even if we can overthink things.
Do let us know how you get on. I send big but gentle hugs of encouragement from across the pond ❤️Xx Jane
I was prescribed 1 mg of lorazepam, for anxiety helps also for sleep. MD Anderson is good same for city of hope. Your in the US, best medical in the world. You'll be fine. My friend stage 4 is good 2 yrs later, I'm stage 3 c , clear cell carcinoma 6 yrs clear April 2020. Prayers, Liz
Thinking of you and hoping your appointment is going well and that you are getting answers - best wishes - Gwen
