I am due to have a hysterectomy and bowel repair in April been waiting 18 months because of a grade 4 prolapse Nobody has talked me through the recovery only to say one night in hospital and you will be up walking the same day. Any hints and advice greatly appreciated.

Feeling guilty and ashamed for using pain relief 😢
Currently on a 2 year waiting list for endometriosis removal and hysterectomy. Been dealing with this for over 12 years and I'm done. I work 50 hours plus a week and doing everything i can to keep afloat. After trying every pain medication under the sun, unfortunately the only kind that gives me relief

Help with first steps
Hi. Firstly wow, this forum is amazing. After nearly 20 years of pain (am now 49) I have finally had a ‘vague’ diagnosis of deep endo following an MRI. The gynae consultant says that the scan shows adhesions fusing my ovaries and uterus but anything other than that would need further investigation

I’m still here!
It is 8 years today since I was told I had Epithelial Ovarian Cancer 2C. I had a full Hysterectomy and 6 Carbo/Taxol chemos. I do have some numbness and peripheral nerve pain from the chemo but No other treatment! I have been able to enjoy many things, seeing my grandchildren grow, look after my elderly

synarel
Has anyone been prescribed Synarel (the sniff drug that stops your ovaries producing estrogen). I’m starting it in a few days, along with Evorel conti. The theory is, if the pain stops I can go straight for a full hysterectomy to avoid many potential laparoscopies in the years to come. Bit scary making

Do I need my smear ?
hi, seems like a silly question but I’m wondering if I need my smear? I have a hysterectomy booked for 14th may but today I revived my letter for my cervical screening. Do I still need to have this done? X

Adenomyosis - Bleeding on Decapeptyl
Hello, I am new here and looking for any advice. Since I was 10 and had my first period I have been in excruciating pain every month. After the birth of both my sons via c-section my periods changed and I thought this is amazing. Mild cramping and less bleeding. That didn’t last. When I turned

Adenomyosis diagnosis journey
Hi Everyone, This is a long one but I hope it helps someone out there who may be on the same journey! From my first period when I was 11 I had long heavy painful periods, It would wipe me out, I was told that it was normal and that periods were painful and that as a young lady I needed to get on with

Dienogest after hysterectomy
Hi all,I am 6 weeks post-op from a hysterectomy. I have only a right ovary. The doctor prescribed dienogest 2mg for 6 months. Has anyone else been prescribed dienogest after a hysterectomy? Can dienogest cause ovary failure? It's known that medications like Lupron, and dienogest address symptoms rather

Hi all. Looking for any help. Understanding my MRI report. I have seen a consultant today who states he needs to go back to the radiologist as they haven't "concluded the report" he says there isn't a definite diagnosis of endometriosis although they sent me a letter stating DIE Rectosigmoid and referred
