Increase in thyroxine
Hi all, After some advice please. With the approval of my doctor, I have just upped my thyroxine from 150 mcg a day to 175mcg, due to really heavy periods, currently on day 40, to see if an increase in medication will help as nothing else has so far. ( I’m on waiting list for a hysterectomy, but

Hi all. My consultant told me yesterday that it looks like I have Endo and Adeno (with more Adeno than Endo). I can't seem to find very much info about Adeno. I've been struggling for the past few days with a very bloated tummy, loss of appetite, stomach pains and acid reflux. I'm struggling to even

Post hysterectomy- endo and adenomyosis. Questions welcome!
Hi. So. My story starts like most. Painful, heavy periods but mine started when I was 13. I'm 41 now and was only 'officially' diagnosed with Endo in Feb 2020 after a lap during which they found an ovarian cyst so big it was touching my kidney. They found stage 4 endo all over the fallopian tube and

Endometriosis and ADHD !
Hey ladies. I am currently waiting for my first laposcopy. In horrendous pain at the mo following having the mirena removed after 10 months. It really effected my ADHD because of the progesterone in it. The nurse has said that all other treatments for endo are progesterone based and suggested a hysterectomy

Does hysterectomy and removal of endometriosis elsewhere ever bring relief from symptoms?
Is it possible to get relief from symptoms with a hysterectomy combined with removal of endometriosis from elsewhere with a surgeon who has a lot of experience in this area? It’s an option I have but I’m not managing to find any posts about positive outcomes. I’m not sure if that’s because it doesn’t

Granulosa cell tumour - chemo advice
Hi all, I've recently been diagnosed with granulosa cell tumour, after a large 'cyst' was found on my left ovary. I had a full hysterectomy, omentectomy and during surgery my surgeon found a small nodule on the r.h. peritoneum. The histology has shown that this is granulosa cell tumour, and has been

Tranexamic acid - any advice?
In short, I have endo & adeno and am currently treatment free whilst waiting for a hysterectomy (I'm 45). My periods are pretty heavy and painful and a doctor has suggested trying Tranexamic acid for a few months. I just wondered if anyone else has tried this in a similar situation and did it work? Thanks

Hi new here. Little bit about me, diagnosed sept 2018 3c, had the normal rounds of chemo before complete hysterectomy, I consider myself lucky with the surgery coped really well and recovery was good, I can honestly say I have been very lucky to have had no horrible side affects with the chemo and surgery

Hi all I have my 3 month post diagnostic laparoscopy/excision follow up appointment with my surgeon on Friday. The pain has definitely improved, more so that it isn't all the time anymore. Has anyone been to Spire Hospital fylde to have prolapse surgery? Or any positive experiences of surgery anywhere in northwest ?
Hi I have just discovered I have bladder prolapse and a slight bowel one. I am thinking of going for surgery privately because this has totally shocked me and made me feel so down . I had been experiencing slight bladder leakage when my bladder was full and if I coughed it laughed etc but nothing else

Does anyone get pain on the right lower side around by the hip/ovary area straight after eating? I have endo have had hysterectomy with ovaries left in and further excision on right same sort of area as this pain. I also have a bladder prolapse which blocks my bowel which maybe causing these pains. Grateful

Have others had problems with endometriosis returning as soon as prostap wears off?
Since prostap wore off terrible hot flushes and nightly endometriosis pain. It’s completely ruining my sleep finding it hard to cope with the pain. I’m under Gynacology and due a hysterectomy, however due to the covid situation I feel very forgotten about. I’ve spoken with my GP to get a letter written
