1st post - Endo and adeno.

Hi all. My consultant told me yesterday that it looks like I have Endo and Adeno (with more Adeno than Endo). I can't seem to find very much info about Adeno. I've been struggling for the past few days with a very bloated tummy, loss of appetite, stomach pains and acid reflux. I'm struggling to even keep water down now. Does this all sound "normal" for these conditions? Due to family history I'm booked in for a hysterectomy next month.

Yes! This is exactly how my Adeno makes me feel. And I look 8 months pregnant!! Also just recently diagnosed with both. Have had a lot of the endo removed and swelling seems improved this cycle. Good luck with hysterectomy - interested to hear how it goes.

Yes, absolutely. I often looked like I'd swallowed a beach ball!! Good luck with the hysterectomy. I had mine and had my bowel endo removed in March. The only good thing about adeno is that a hysterectomy completely removes it. I was told I'd feel better from the moment I woke up - and I really did! I left hospital, the day after, absolutely on top of the world. Hope you get the same joy. Good luck!

I'm no use with information but found your post very interesting. I have endo but there was a suggestion I might have adeno as well. I've an appointment on Thursday so we'll see if the ultrasounds showed anything. Can I ask if yours was diagnosed from a scan, surgery or based on symptoms?

The diagnosis was based on my MRI scan and from my symptoms. Good luck with your appointment on Thursday.
