Does anyone get pain on the right lower side around by the hip/ovary area straight after eating? I have endo have had hysterectomy with ovaries left in and further excision on right same sort of area as this pain. I also have a bladder prolapse which blocks my bowel which maybe causing these pains. Grateful for any clues. Thanks in advance xx

Pain on right after eating
In my experience, endo pain after eating is fairly common. As far as I can tell, bloating and food in my stomach and digestion system pushes on the endo tissue and causes further pain. I found the best things is to keep meals really light and simple, you can always eat later on. Avoid carbs, especially heavily processed ones like bread as these will make you bloat. Keep away from gassy foods like onions and beans. You could also try a digestive aid like a supplement or a yoghurt with live cultures. These rules all helped me so I would advise giving them a dry (although I do miss cheese toasties, it's just not worth the pain.)
Hi EndoJaz,
I can confirm too, that endo pain after eating is common. You won't be able to prevent it completely through diet. Focus on excluding the foods that give inflammation, especially around your period.
Hope this helps.
Yes I only graze as can’t eat big meals, I am very careful what I eat. I run a health food shop so eat all the good things. It’s more the pressure on the bowel than bloating. I do get bloating if I sit up or drive for a while. X
Hi EndoJaz,
Do you find that the lighter eating helps? I have read a cookbook on endometriosis that recommends not eating between meals, to allow the digestion to rest and reset.
Do you think that the sitting is because of endo in your POD? I would think so.
I did have it in the POD hence the hysterectomy. I can’t eat a big meal, just small amounts. It just goes on and on and never ends. I am in more of a mess with the scar tissue and adhesions from all the surgeries. 😫xx
Hi EndoJaz,
I think the shape you are has a bit of an influence on this too. I have had a surgery.
My lower abdominals are currently tighter where the scaring is and it has had an influence on my bloating, which means I am bloating more outwards. Keeping my back in good condition really helps.
hi hun how's u doing? I'm sorry to hear that ur in pain, please keep an eye on it, I don't want to worry you and I'm not a doctor but from what you have described it could be ur appendix? mine started playing up and I had to have it removed I felt instant relief after they removed it. hope you get the help u need hun but if you want to chat plz pm me xxxx
How long did your pain go on for? This has been a while in that area, thought it would end after the last excision, but the pain on eating has been the last few weeks? I have suspected my appendix for a while. My sons burst when he was 9, it’s such a painful thing to go thru x
between 4 & 5 weeks it was bubbling for before it burst, and it was agony. when I saw the gp he thought I had gastroenteritis and gave med medication for that (apparently the antibiotics he gave me for the wrong diagnosis had slowed the infection) but not enough 😂 I have to laugh at the situation I avoided getting help sooner cause I thought I'd be fobbed off as bad period pain, I was lucky it didn't kill me 😊 xxx
Too right, when my sons burst it was when swine flu was about so they told me over the phone to give him tamiflu. It was so bad how they didn’t even come out and diagnose him until it was really bad. As if endo isn’t bad enough, u had to go thru that. Was there any endo on your appendix?? X
😂 I have no idea tbh no one said anything about it, it was an ambulance job though, it all happened so fast. I funnily enough won't do that with my kids (I seem to have a mummy sense) and my idea of the problem is usually correct 😂 but with me I've delayed getting help involved earlier and I have nearly died twice due to feeling like I won't be believed 😔 it's Dr's who are at fault not us xxx
