Abdominal ultrasound
Hiya,Would just like people's views/experiences on if endo will be picked up on an ultrasound or the abdomen. I've had pelvic mri before which picked up endo everywhere and I'm awaiting surgery (endo, hysterectomy and bowel). I've not got abdomen pains so they've got me down for an ultrasound. I feel

Smear test problems
So I went for a smear on Tuesday and it was pretty awful. She couldn't find my cervix and I was bleeding (because I'm always bleeding). She tried all different sizes and had me lying on my side at one point but no joy. She said I'd have to come back in 6 weeks. Has anyone else had problems with smears

Ovarian mass continued...
Hi all still in limbo. I got my results recently of MRI repeated in October last one was March. The mass has only increased marginally in size. I have repeated CEA and CA125 so should get those results tomorrow. Last time they said it was solid but this time they said it is not solid component. I don't

pain management
Hi all I had a full hysterectomy in February this year & endometriosis has already come back & is also on my bowel & bladder. I’ve taken so many meds & I’m still lying here awake in absolute agony. Any advice/recommendations for pain relief would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Feeling low after consultant meeting following laoaroscopy
I have a long history of pelvic pain. I had a laparoscopy in August and no Endo was found but they did say I have a globular uterus, which is probably caused by Adenomyosis. I wasn't surprised, as I have all the symptoms. I met with the consultant and he did play my symptoms down. He said that the globular

Local hospital treats endometriosis in general gyn
I started experiencing cyclical pain last summer, after ultrasound and mri they noted I had an 8cm endometioma on one ovary and DIE behind my other ovary. In February they said I would be discussed at mdt with endo specialist. In March I was told to wait for an appointment. In October I turned up to

Going Private
I can't wait any longer so I've decided to go private and I've booked to see a consultant next week. I can't get my head around the fact I can see the same consultant I have to wait a year for on the NHS next week if I pay £200. I'm 50, currently on continuous provera and estrogen and I'm bleeding heavily

Biopsy prior lap
Hello ladies! I am about to have a partial hysterectomy in december, i am already terrified, gutted, i am s...ing on myself with fear. My consultant told me I need to have a biopsy from my womb prior to surgery so he can know there is nothing dodgy there except a lot of fibroids he has already seen

Adenomyosis
Do you always need a hysterectomy with Adenomyosis? I've just been diagnosed, also with suspected Endo, ovaries 'stuck' together and 6 ovarian cysts. Does it always progress to get much worse and possible endo cancer? I've had thyroid cancer and seen there is a link with Adenomyosis and thyroid cancer

It's back after 7 years!
Hi ladies, not been following these groups for a while as had total hysterectomy in 2016 removing uterus and ovaries after many years of pain with stage 4 endo on womb, bowel and pouch of douglas. Went on HRT and have gradually got better since -until about 18 months ago. The symptoms I used to suffer

Hi all. I've been taking opioid medication for over 10 years for endometriosis/adenomyosis. I'm now finally on the waiting list for a total hysterectomy which should get rid of the bulk of my pain - and therefore i will stop the pain medication. However, I've now to have a meeting with a chronic pain

post menopausal health problems - pain in pelvic area after total hysterectomy
Hi Since being properly post menopausal and having a total hysterectomy for early stage cancer which was cured by surgery, I have developed several new health issues. One which causes me a lot of discomfort is pain in my pelvic area - it feels like it’s just inside my right buttock near the perineum
