Anticoagulants

I was wondering if anyone is using the pill in the pocket/apple watch method for taking anticoagulants as apposed to taking them on a daily basis which I know is UK NHS guideline. I have read some stuff on the REACT-AF trial being done in the states which I know is not yet completed.

I have liver cirrhosis with portal hypertension and a few small varacies..but took a stroke last year and was put on anticoagulants due to AF Was curious if anyone else is on anticoagulants that have varacies and portal hypertension!

Has anyone on anticoagulants used a grounding/ earthing device, e.g mat or sheet that it is suggested grounds one as if walking barefoot in contact with the ground.It suggests lots of advantages BUT says if on medication, into hypertensive, diabetic meds or anticoagulants your doctor should be consulted

a couple of months ago I switched from Edoxaban to Apixaban but night mares have caught up with me again. Is Rivaroxaban likely to be a better option? Last two nights I've woken from stressy dreams with tachycardia ... which soon calms down with deep breathing etc. I'd be very grateful for any

I love ginger but read that you shouldn’t take it when on anticoagulants. I’m on edoxaban (soon to be changed to apixaban) and wonder if I can drink a ginger cordial safely? thanks in advance. Mary.

She now says after all the presumably heparin type injections that she is on apixaban snd says it is a blood thinner and making her lose weight I said I’ve been on them since about 2017 and no weight loss and they not blood thinners, but are anticoagulants.

I have been on anticoagulants since 2013 for AF. On Nov 30th after a very stressful week ( my husband is awaiting triple bypass and aortic valve replacement. and was admitted twice and sent home twice, still waiting) I had a stroke. I take my apixaban religiously.

Anyone had experience with being offered anticoagulants? With me for atrial fibrillation. I'm worried about the bleeding risk of course.

A friend has advised I take chia seeds but I have been reading they need to be taken with caution when taking anti coagulants.Anyone know more about this please.

When I was diagnosed with AF I was put on Anticoagulants (which I cannot tolerate). Has anyone else had bad experiences with Anticoagulants?

I am on my second AC Edoxaban. I tried Rivaroxaban and got too much bloating stomach and lower abdo pain. Even after stopping it the pain took a long time to settle. The cardiac nurse didn't think it was the AC causing it as the symptoms didn't subside straight away but she agreed to let me try Edoxaban

My huge concern is I will have to continue to take anticoagulants for the first, to minimise risk of blood clots, so I will obviously bleed more and not heal so quickly when pacemaker fitted. He says I may have to stay in hospital 2 or 3 days.

Mrs Google says it could be a spontaneous hematoma, which always is worse for those taking aspirin or anticoagulants. I take Eliquis, Apixaban and no other medication. The hematoma is caused by a break in the wall of a blood vessel, vein or capillaries (oh wot joy😬).

Has anyone heard recently of medics raising the danger of taking otcs regularly when on Anticoagulants, sometimes causing death from Pulmonary Embolisms or Deep Vein Thrombosis?

A couple of days ago there were posts on here about plasters helping to stop bleeding after a cut etc. if you are on blood thinners or anticoagulants. I am on apixaban, and did not know these plasters existed. So thank you.
