Vaccine and anticoagulants

Bearing in mind the several posts already about this subject and the protential for miss-information and miss-understanding I have requested a definitive answer to this question from our medical advisor(s). It does seem to be much to do about nothing (sorry Will) but best to be sure. Bob

Turmeric

Can anyone tell me if turmeric capsules interfere with anticoagulants or beta blockers? Probably a silly question, because it’s in curries, and I eat them occasionally. Have got sore joints, and this is supposed to help. Thanks to anyone who answers.

Trebuie anticoagulant

Do I also need anticoagulants? I have a pacemaker, I had bradycardia, my heart is healthy, the mitral valve does not close well, that's all. I forgot to ask the doctor.

CBH and A.Fib

I am reasonably new and haven't posted before, but interested to know if anyone has been treated with Hemp Oil whilst taking anticoagulants.. I also have an inflammatory condition which I know it would help with the pain. Interested to know your experience. Thank you

Anticoagulants and menopause

Have any women taken anticoagulants and gone through the whole of menopause whilst taking them? If so, would they mind sharing if being on anticoagulants was an issue or any menopausal symptoms were different (either better or worse) due to this? Thanks in advance!

Anticoagulants

Possibly just clutching at straws, my GP diagnosed me with AF after I presented with mild breathlessness last December, he organised an ECG, prescribed Xarelto and referred me to a Cardiologist. By February the breathlessness was getting worse so I asked for a chest X-ray, the x-ray showed fluid on

AF and Diverticular

I have AF (which seems to come about 6months intervals) Have been very anxious about taking anticoagulant, mainly because I suffer with Diverticular and really concerned would bring about a bleed from stomach.Does any one else suffer with this and takes anticoagulants ?

Ablation and silent A Fib

Have just read a recent thread concerning anticoagulation and bleeding risk, and one contributor stated that another risk is atrial fibrillation episodes post ablation and the need therefore for anticoagulants even when an ablation is successful.

Incidence of Stroke for those with AF taking an Anticoagulant

Unfortunately, it is unclear whether or not this increase takes into account the use of anticoagulants; is the probability still 5 times greater if you are taking them?

ANTICOAGULANTS - HOW LONG ARE PEOPLE ON THEM AFTER STENTS

I have been on anticoagulants since I had my stent put in last year in July. Since then I have only see the cardiologist once because of the Covid. The prescription comes to an end in October. I am very pleased with that as I hate them. The make me feel quite ill.

Putting off the anticoagulants

I have my prescription but have not been able to take the anticoagulants. I have a chas score 2 (simply - female and 71). My last AF episode was over a month ago (I don’t appear to have silent ones but dramatic ones), with three a month before that and two four years earlier.

Apaxiban and side effects

It's re the dreaded anticoagulants I have been prescribed - I have got myself in a right pickle about taking them, especially having read some of the possible and scary side effects.

Interesting Article on Anticoagulants - Edoxaban - trial on low dose.

"Our study provides an important piece of the puzzle," Giugliano said. "At least now we can be informed, we can talk to our patients and say, 'I understand you didn't tolerate the standard dose…but another option is to give you a half dose of edoxaban. The good of it is your risk of bleeding is much
