Hi I have recently been told that I need a knee replacement, but because I have had 3 stents in a blocked artery, I will have to wait 6 months for the OP! I am in quite a bit of pain and this is very dibilating, I cannot walk very far at all. I was wondering if I could have a steroid injection for the

Knee pain/Arthritis
I have just been told that I need a full knee replacement on my right knee. The consultant, is I am told is very experienced, said he could tell when I walked into the room. He did a quick physical examination, no MRI no Xray, then was quite negative about the surgery and said 1 in 20 people regret having

Drinking Again
Hi I haven't posted in a while my husband was diagnosed in May 2019 with decompensated liver disease. Went for transplant assessment but too high risk. He had also gained a huge amount of weight which with him needing two knee replacements meant he was in a wheelchair. Long story short it was looking

How was your Universal Credit Review?
Hi all, I hope you are not suffering too much and had some opportunities to enjoy somehow the summer 🌞 I noticed my fibromyalgia flares up so much from the stress of uncertainty from having my pip reviewed almost at the same time as the universal credit one. I have already done the pip review and I

Tranexamic acid after having surgery for a knee replacement when I’m also taking sinthrome
Hi all, I am currently in hospital after having a knee replacement. I have two mechanical valves after having open heart surgery in Feb 2021. I take Sinthrome instead of Warfarin, as I was losing my hair, so was switched by my surgeon. Anyway I am currently recovering from a knee operation. The

Preparing for thyroid blood tests
This is my first posting so please forgive me if this sounds confusing. I am slated to have NHS knee replacement surgery but following my pre-op assessment have been dropped from the list because of abnormal thyroid levels. No information has been offered about the levels, what is abnormal about them

Good morning, I hope that you had a restful and not too painful night 🤗I am very stressed in this period as the instability of not knowing what's going to be is making my fibromyalgia flare up so much. I need your help and advice if possible. I had my PIP Review a few days ago, still waiting their decision

buprenorphine, pregablin, opiates
Hi all. In the ongoing battle to get things stable I have been able to decrease my buprenorphine to under .5mg sublingual (from 2mg) and pregablin to 100mg (from 225mg). RLS is mostly managed well which is terrific but I can't say that I feel much less tired overall having decreased dosages. Like

Hubby's RLS
My husbands RLS has increased with age and his recent full knee replacement two years ago. We have been seeing an RLS/Sleep doctor from Johns Hopkins since last November and are on a slow journey to figure out which combinations of meds will help him. He was on 2 Horizant pills when we first saw him

To ICD or Not ICD
Thank you to everyone out there who responded to my post yesterday. As I suspected, there are a lot of people out there who have positive experiences of ICDs. Their experience and views have been really very helpful. I had more or less made up my mind but there was a nagging doubt that had been created

Feeling baffled
Hi all - new to this forum so will give you a bit of history because I wonder whether there are any others out there who have been diagnosed like me, but are not suffering any related symptoms? After having a series of scans I was amazed to be told I have severe Aortic stenosis and severe triple-vessel
