Had a complex agent angiography in September 2022 ( to the LAD) having agreed to be part of the ORBITA 2 trial they were rung by at basildon cardiothoratic centre. Was,relatively angina free after. Fast forward to march this year. Had a total right knee replacement at the beginning of march and started to experience angina type pains about 3 weeks after. Ended up in A&E good Friday where they checked for blood clots. E.C.G was ok.apart from Pac beats which I knew about. Tropin level was 17. Doc was, going to refer me to rapid access Chastaiest pain clinic (but that never happened). Went back to my docs and she upped my meds and referred me back to cardiology. Had a telephone consult at the beginning of July when cardiologist said he wanted me to have another angiography with a view to fitting another stent if needed. Now got that on the 21st. I know what to expect but not really looking forward to it. I just hope they can find out why I am getting some Chest pain nearly every day spray does mostly relieve it and when I go to bed I am onion the morning. Funny thing it's mostly in the evening at the moment. I really need the other knee done at some point but if I have a stent will have to postpone that as,will have to go back on clopidogrel

Hello :-)

I remember you doing this and admired you so much and you found out that they had given you a stent

I am sorry to hear about your knee operation but hope that is now causing you less issues even though you may have to postpone getting the other one done but I suppose getting your heart checked to see if another stent is needed has to be priority

I can only imagine you are not looking forward to it but you know what to expect and if a stent is needed then it is good they are checking this out

You have been through quite a bit so I hope everything goes well and you will let us know how you get on :-) x

if you need an operation and are on Clop, they should tell you (when you are having your pre-op discussion within 12 weeks of the op) when to stop Clop. They should warn you of the risks of doing so, which you then have to weigh again the pain from the knee.

At least that’s what’s happened with my husband and his shoulder op.

Although according to a day I had on both knees before up left one was nearly as bad as right one, but funnily enough it's not been very painful since I had the right one done. It's my back and left hip ( which I had replaced 23 years ago) that are causing more problems. I am not in a hurrybtogrtvthe other one done at the moment
