To ICD or Not ICD

Thank you to everyone out there who responded to my post yesterday. As I suspected, there are a lot of people out there who have positive experiences of ICDs. Their experience and views have been really very helpful. I had more or less made up my mind but there was a nagging doubt that had been created by the two negative opinions that I had been given (Unasked for, I might add!)

I have to wait three months, before I can tell the cardiologist that I want to go ahead with the implant. The procedure holds no fears for me. I’ve had two knee replacements during which I was awake so, this seems straight forward.

Thank you once again.

Sounds like it is right for you .

Why not tell them now and ask to go on the cancellation list too?

It will be one less thing on everyone's "to do" list 🙂

Dave, if given the chance, I intend to do so. The most recent cardiologist is due to send me a letter shortly and that’s the time I’m intending to make my move.

Sounds like a good plan 🙂
