Has anyone else had a problem with
Dextrose
. It says it is 'Gluten Free' but I have eaten a product with this ingredient and I have swelled up like a balloon all around my tummy, abdomen and hips and it hurts.

DEXTROMETHOROHAN and RLS
It has to be paired with Buproprion specifically to keep the
Dextrose
from metabolizing so quickly. Many Dr’s will give the lowest dose Buproprion 150mg and have the patient buyDextromethirphan over the counter which is very inexpensive. Avuelity is 1200/ month! Anybody out there tried this?

Steroids and blood-sugar...
This helped explain a lot and I began to deal with it in the same way that my wife and kids do, by eating a few
dextrose
tablets or half a banana.

Update 8.3
I sent this note to my MPN Specialist and local hematologist. [i]My most recent CBC at the PCP 09/06/24 shows HCT=46.2 HGB=14.7. The CBC at my local hematologist on 08/02/24 showed HCT=42.7 HGB=14.2. It seems a rather large jump in a short period of time given that the HCT has been stable in recent

Emerging cancer drugs (IDO1 inhibitors) might also treat early-stage Alzheimer's disease [and maybe Parkinson's disease dementia].

Post Liver Transplant - MASLD (Fatty Liver Disease)
When I had my liver transplant back in 2016. I secretly promised my donor that I would look after this gift of life, and never knowingly cause it any damage. So here I am, almost eight years later, and I've now been diagnosed with having MASLD (Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease

On Truqap since Feb. Good results. Early August began feeling fatigue and all symptoms of high glucose but it didn't occur to me what was going on. Finally learned glucose 650! Admitted to hospital for weekend. Now will make adjustments according to md protocol and continue with caution on Truqap

Blood Sugar Level
I was diagnosed and started taking C/L this past June (25/100 3x daily) and since then have noticed an increase in my fasting glucose level. I usually stay a bit under 100 but now I am usually over that sometimes as high as around 110. Is this a common side effect of taking the med or PD in general.

Labs weren’t too bad, but will be curious to see what they say. Wbcs 1.9, hct 39.5, PLT 176, neutrophils 1.1, lymphocytes 0.6. Alk phos was a little high, but not near double, other liver enzymes were good. I figured it is because my thyroid needs adjusting as it was totally fine in June. But lipids

Fatigue
Is fatigue from PV permanent? Mine has become much worse in the past month. My blood counts are good and iron levels and glucose are at acceptable levels. I was diagnosed about two years ago. I’m on 500 mg hydroxyurea every second day. I’m wondering if anyone has had the fatigue pass, even if it’s

I’m fine. Really?
Brain fog is a brilliant description that no one can really understand until they experience it. I feel like my brain is surrounded by a thick cotton wool-like layer that makes me want to just lie down and close my eyes - except that makes me dizzy. What the heck is happening to me? I’m 65 and moved

Gummies - BE CAREFUL
There is a huge range of substances now available in the form of gummies. And gummies are made to taste nice. And this disguises that they contain active ingredients with serious effects. They themselves seem entirely innocuous. Possibly there is more concern over any sugars and sweeteners than what

Is that discoloration around the neck insulin resistance?
I’m 27 I’ve had it for as long as I can remember, but I don’t remember if I still did when I was thin. I’m currently obese and chances are higher. I also have hyperpigmentation under the armpits and the inner thighs. Glucose show okay but I know pre diabetes doesn’t usually show on tests. I’m concerned
