hi folks, was told I had mild cirrhosis, I stopped drinking no problem, changed my diet to heavy protein diet. I just got my blood work done and my doctor said my liver and kidney numbers were normal.

But my glucose was high. So now I’m

On metaformin. What numbers

In the blood test do the liver doctors look at to decide how your liver is doing?

Thanks in advance!

Hi they don’t just look at any particular number they take all of the numbers and data from blood works to get a true picture of your health. Oh and just before you start the Dr google up don’t do it, they have had years of training and experience to read the results, any questions ring them . Good luck 👍.

I agree with Dogbot that they look at everything to get a full picture. The main liver markers would be Gamma GT, Bilirubin, Alk Phos, AST and ALT.

Thanks, everyone of those are right in the middle of low and high. And all are trending even better after no drinking for a few months!
