Ibuprofen
I know that taking
ibuprofen
with pred. is usually not a good idea but I remember reading somewhere here (tried searching FAQ’s but couldn’t find anything) that occasionally it’s OK. I’m on 7mg pred. daily and have had a dodgy sacroiliac joint for years.

Ibuprofen
Good afternoon, would you be able to let me know if it's safe to take
Ibuprofen
after a fall to ease the pain, I'm still waiting for test results for liver problems, so unsure at the moment of the diagnosis. Kind regards Karen Bear

Prednisone and Ibuprofen
(Just too easy to do at 82) I was taking
Ibuprofen
which at least helped me get through the day until I read that you shouldn't take it with Pred. Now that I'm down to 1mg I'm wondering if I could go back to taking it again.

I read - too late - that you shouldn’t take
ibuprofen
if you are on Corticosteroids. I am on 7.5 mgs. Can I ignore that for a few days. Or is that very unwise? Thanks as always.

Ibuprofen gel/cream
I don't take
ibuprofen
tablets for pain because of my GCAPMR plus IBS. I know it's not a good idea on preds. Could I use the gel on my neck, though? Or would that find its way into blood or stomach? Paracetamol does very little.

Ibuprofen for ET and post ET?
Hi lovely community, I’ve read on here that some IVF protocols includes
ibuprofen
on the day of ET and then 3-4 days after ET. That’s interesting because I thought
ibuprofen
was not allowed in IVF. What is the purpose of
ibuprofen
, please?

Not Cardiac ?
After experiencing a few bad days, she took
ibuprofen
and had a very good day, the best ever. Following a setback over a couple of days and another visit to the GP, she took more
ibuprofen
and has since had 3 to 4 good days (fingers crossed).

pain relief
My hematologist's office told me I could not take
ibuprofen
. Only tylenol. I am curious if you all have been told that, and if so, what do you use for pain relief? Tylenol doesn't really help that much, and it is hard on the liver. Some have suggested to me that CBD rub works.

Hip and Lower Back pain
Can’t take too many NSAIDs only
ibuprofen
with lots of carbs to buffer stomach, prescription NSAIDs are a killer for my gut. Already on cimzia, methotrexate and sulfa. Getting pretty down about it.

Pain relief?
My Physiotherapist advised using a Pain relieving gel - but I said they contain
Ibuprofen
and I'm not allowed that as I'm on Apixaban. He said ask a Pharmacist as 'they will know'. I'm not so sure about that as some Haematologists don't know about MPNs. Any advice please gratefully received.

safe painkiller use with tinnitus?
I used to control it with
ibuprofen
but I understand
ibuprofen
is an ototoxic drug and to be avoided for those with tinnitus. Tumeric is apparently an effective anti inflammatory without side effects - any experience and dosage? Any advice appreciated .

At the moment a mix of a paracetamol and half an
ibuprofen
seems to work reasonably well for feet and toes but not quite so well on my thumb. Jolly trying in the night. I wondered if anyone else has tried other drugs? Thanks Louise

She asked me if I have had a urine infection or taken any
Ibuprofen
. I said no to both. I feel fine. She said she will discuss with a colleague and will arrange a hospital appointment for me, if required. Is this result anything to be concerned about? TIA

Stiffness/sore muscles
This is that 4th week and I have been taking
ibuprofen
2 x 200mgs in the morning and it works!! I haven’t needed to take any more, although by bed time I’m feeling the muscles again. So the last two nights I took the
ibuprofen
quite late, before bed, and woke with no muscle stiffness.
