Ibuprofen

Now I'm on no medication to help other than pain relief such as cocodamol and ibuprofen, no clue of what is next if anything at all because it seems they are out of options.

Ibuprofen actually helps the pain feel less intense.

Also cocodamol, paracetamol and ibuprofen do nothing to relive the symptoms. The feedback I received from last time was that she should receive a CT scan as Mammograms and not conclusive. Her situation has not involved and therefore, I am looking for further possible answers to her problem.

Cue 3 days of hobbling about, popping ibuprofen, wriggling about on Pilates balls until I felt better, so no running on Monday as planned. Wednesday brought another visit to the hospital with my son.

I'm reluctant to take too much medication having on paracetamol and ibuprofen for a majority of my life and now developed allergy to paracetamol and have GERD. Tried some other meds, none seems to work. Are we doomed to be on medication all our lives because of fibromyalgia?

Anyone have any suggestions for pain management other than ibuprofen?

The only reliable way I can get a decent Sleep is to take codeine ibuprofen painkillers. I do this only a couple of times a week because I don’t want to develop a dependency on them. However, they do work. Grateful for any advice, help et cetera. Many thanks, Paul

Can I ask if there's any problems taking paracetamol (or ibuprofen)when also taking T3 as T4/T3 combo! Tripped up in the garden +bruised down right side - painful to say the least. Will make sure I pick my feet up in future!!

Last couple if days have taken regular full doses of Ibuprofen and felt a little better last night (possibly high on the drug?) Awoke in the night to pains in hands, wrists and now ankles!! Help! This sounds like a flare? What's the best advise please? Shall I go back to one daily, or more?

He prescribed ibuprofen and more topical antibiotic well after first making a mistake inputting pharmacy when I specifically told him what to put. I did the hydrogen peroxide treatment, maintained a balanced diet, most importantly fruit.

Recently I have been to my arthritis is impacting on things I can do, "sorry nothing for it , take paracetamol or ibuprofen" but you know I can't take ibuprofen!

I was taken into the room for extraction but told they wanted to scan me first as they had concerns from blood tests taken on Friday that ovulation was near/may have happened (I had been told to take ibuprofen 3 times a day from Friday evening). I am 33 with a very egg count - AMH level (3.4).

I don't drink alcohol at all EVER and only take the occasional ibuprofen. I'm kind of freaking out about the enzymes thing and my doctor just told me not to drink or take a few drugs for 30 days and we will test again.

Have taken ibuprofen which while not taking the pain away seems to make it easier to move. My recent blood tests indicate high inflammation markers. My question to you learned and experienced folk is could arthritis cause the markers to be high? I have no other ailments at this time.

Blood tests so far . 14/12 (T4 110, T3 > 30, TSH <0.02) 21/12 (T4 80 , T3 > 30 ) 29/12 ( T4 40 , T3 18 ) 3 /1/24 ( T4 30.9, T3 12.5) I initially was given 10mg propranolol/3 times per day and Ibuprofen 400mg /3 times a day.

So, don’t feel I can take any ibuprofen now either. Feeling v low. Left a message on the helpline yesterday but haven’t heard back yet. I have not felt like this for such a long time so I’m v miserable today. Just needed to vent because I know you’ll understand. Xx

I was put on acyclovir and prednisone (still on prednisone) and sent home a few days later with little to no information about recovery or what medication I was taking. 2 weeks later, headaches were getting unbearable and did not improve with paracetamol or ibuprofen.

Apparently, ibuprofen gel is a no-no. Thanks Thanks everyone, pharmacist confirmed I can use Deep Heat, Heat Patches and or, paracetamol.
