Hey everyone, for the past 6 months I’ve been experiencing random stomach cramps in all areas mostly center stomach and sides. I’ve done all the tests, ct scans, food sensitivities, gluten, dairy, hida scan, colonoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, stool, urine, blood tests and all coming back clear. When I’m laying around relaxed it’s not as bad and I don’t feel it as much when I wake up in the morning. I notice it’s a lot worse when I start feeling anxious/stressed. Gets worse as the day goes on. Could this all be linked to stress/anxiety/depression? Doctor mentioned psychosomatic disorder. Thank you for reading.

Chronic stomach cramping, anxiety/depression?
Hi! Is CBT an option for you? You can do it online if you need to. You've had so many tests, if something was physically wrong they would have found it!! You need to learn to accept the symptoms as nothing more than anxiety. Easier said than done I know. I struggle with this myself. Take care.
Hey, just finished 6 weeks of Sertraline. Still having the stomach pains, my stomach just constantly holds tension throughout the day and I can’t make it stop. I should probably start CBT. If you don’t mind me asking what mg Sertraline were you on that helped?
Just 50mg. The Sertraline made me feel more normal, e.g. I could eat again and sleep better. But my anxiety symptoms didn't leave until I learnt to accept them as just anxiety. Which i needed CBT for! So Sertraline didn't fix everything, but helped me function well enough to get the other help I needed.
