Im having a HUGE panic attack from valium??

I took a valium as prescribed and I am freaking out. My brain is 100% sure i'm going to die. I do feel sedated and like I'm going to fall asleep but every time I start to my brain wakes me up because I think if I sleep I will die. I am having such catastrophic thinking. I want to go to the hospital but I think Im too scared to even leave the house. This is so terrible. I feel like Im in hell and the derealization is full force. Ugh when will it end??

A thought dI'd you have unreal feeling before vallium

Also unreal is you feel as if reality fragmented or your in other world

As if not in this one.

I had a bad experience with it too and a psychiatrist swapped it for lorazepam (Ativan) which calmed me down a lot, it didn’t sedate me just made me feel like everything was okay. Half calmed the anxiety and a whole tablet made me sleep. Just an idea 🤷🏻‍♀️

You might want to cut the Valium in half. That’s what I did. Might work better for you.

I agree and believe your dose was too high. I actually count out my anxiety pellets in order to take a much smaller dose than the smallest dose they offer. You sound extra sensitive to meds so be careful and always cut what the doctor gives you in half or less to see how you react. I have had doctors overdose me on meds and it isnt a good feeling. It should pass but may take a couple of days.

Oh my . Im sure you will be fine and finally be able to sleep . Next time start off the dose with cutting it like everyone is saying that’s what my doctor always tells me to do just to see how I will react . Again I’m sure you did sleep eventually .
