Valium

My Psychiatrist wants me to switch from Valium to Xanax and even though I’ve been on it before I’m scared of just straight switching. I’m also scared of tapering. I’m just terrified of overdose or bad withdrawals. I have bad health fears. Anyone have anny advice or experience with this?

Hi Has anyone else experienced coming off of Diazepam or similar benzodiazepines? I’ve been on Diazepam for over 10 months (so a LOT longer than the recommended 2 weeks max to avoid addiction). I'm on baclofen and valium 3 time's a day now, which helps. The, I'm going to call them spasms, are now mostly confined to my head, neck and shoulders, although my arm's join in when I have a bad day. Does anyone else have this kind of thing or does everybody have seizures?

He said valium was good,since his grandmother takes it for restless,legs. Any suggestions ? Thanks for helping guys.😊

I'm nervous enough of scans anyway and will be taking some Valium with me and so want to be at my best equilibrium to get through it. Will take the Pred with me and have it when I’m done but that’s likely to be 5. 30 ish meaning I will have had no pred since about 9am yesterday.

CBT doesn't help, but Valium does (which I seldom take). I have learned to ignore the weak ones with a bit of screaming. Sometimes I don't even notice them, but they scare the hell out of people sharing the space with me e.g. if I have guests.

PD and VALIUM

Taking sleeping tabs and occasional valium for the anxiety its causing. Have stopped socialising. Has anyone had botox in the vulva/clitoral area? I have done pelvic floor therapy, meditation, CBT and my doctors always say Im the first they have seen and to see how it goes in a few weeks.

At the moment i am on two 5mg of Valium also 50 mg of Sertraline. At this moment in time that i have no motivation, whatsoever. No energy! I have asked my Dr to increase my sertraline to 100mg. I have been getting a lot of pins and needles in my arms, fingers, and also legs too.

They seem to have more side affects than Valium! one common symptom is nausea,which I already suffer with as have a degree of gastroparesis and nausea caused by my neck.

Once in a while--maybe every week or 10 days--I take 7.5 mg valium, which does help, although I hesitate to take more because of building up tolerance and not wanting, yet once again, to wean off a benzo.

When I expressed my concern he said “you won’t die, don’t worry about it” and gave me Valium. He did give me a pill called “Aspenon” which had awful side effects and led to my not being able to drive due to fear of fainting which happened twice.

My psychiatrist has given me a limited prescription for Valium to break the cycle for which I’m grateful. I’m wary of benzos but carefully prescribed for a limited time they do help. Sometimes I’m so exhausted and tight I can barely move.

When that doesn't work, I take 550 mg of Tylenol, and later, 300mg of Gabapentin, and later a half-pill of Sinamet, and later, another, and if that doesn't work, 1.25mg of Valium.

Did your physician prescribe hydrocodone and/or Valium in addition to the sedatives and pain meds such as midazolam and fentanyl? 2. Are the needles one-time use or not? Thank you.

I found a specialist who wants me to use vaginal Valium suppositories to help relax the muscles to make physical therapy easier to tolerate.

Last year I was a mess, my ocd hit high levels but alot of that was because I came off valium cold turkey and it gave me a massive physical and psychological major major battle, that breakdown taught me alot my friends and I hope this will serve you well.

Doctor told me to take two extra strength Tylenol an hour before the procedure as well as one Valium. Also, antibiotics. Is the one Valium enough to calm me down as I am pretty anxious about the procedure? Has anyone else who has had these? Can you speak to your experience? How is the recovery?

Another series of mental health tests were run and I was given the diagnosis of severe PTSD (I had a traumatic childhood), a referral to a psychiatrist, the contact numbers for LifeLine and Beyond Blue and a prescription for Valium to help me sleep until I could get to the psychiatrist.
