Hi all, I had my 3 month bloodtest done yesterday, I asked for a full iron panel as well but clearly they didn't do it 🙄 I asked for my hormones to be checked as I'm menopausal and I presume they're the ones at the bottom 🤔Any advice is appreciated as I feel like pants, I'm so tired all the time, brain fog, words are a struggle and I have zero energy 😢

I should have said that I followed the bloodtest protocol and also stopped b complex a week before and iron 2 days before and daily i'm taking 100mcg levo, 1 Three Arrows iron capsule, vit c, vit d +k2, magnesium, b complex and b12 spray once a week.
I don't know what CRP-hs is 🤷 so i've never asked for it. I just ask for a full iron panel and they usually check transferrin sat index, serum transferrin and serum iron. The last time they checked this was last Feb. I did ask for a full iron panel this time but the nurse must have missed to put it on the list. I asked on here when to stop taking my iron supplement and was told 24hrs before, but i did stop 2 days before. I've been taking 3 arrows iron, one a day for a little over a year i think. I follow a vegan diet but i have done for 10 years now.
I've just had a look at my medical history and theres a plasma C reactive protein which was 0.4mg/L range <5 but that was done in August 2020, nothing since.
Great! Below/within range means no inflammation is artificially increasing ferritin result.
Without a CRP together with ferritin in the same blood draw, you’ll never be sure if your ferritin goes up whether it’s caused by inflammation or an actual improvement in iron status.
And yes - be consistent with 5 days no iron supplements before an iron test. And def no iron rich foods the whole day before.
hmm apart from saying Ferritin nearer 100 and folate nearer 20 would suit me I don’t know what to add to this. Tagging TiggerMe as she’s good with hormones 👍
