Hello everyone
I'm reposting my latest blood test results, as I didn't get any responses last week... would be very glad of any advice!
I am now 16 weeks pregnant and although I can't seem to get any pregnancy ranges out of anyone (midwife, specialist, Medichecks) I have been having quite bad muscle aches (legs/shoulders), mainly when I've had a day on my feet, and this makes me wonder if I have any scope for increasing my dosage of thyroid hormones, as it has been a symptom of under treatment in the past.. or whether to just blame it on being pregnant!
I'm currently on 150mcg thyroxine (up from 112.5 pre-pregnancy dose) and 12.5mcg T3 (self medicated)
Results as follows:
Inflammation- CRPHS 2.06 mg/L (Range: < 5)
Iron Status - Ferritin 60.60 ug/L (Range: 13 - 150)
Vitamin B12 - Active 97.600 pmol/L (Range: > 37.5)
Vitamin D - 119.00 nmol/L (Range: 50 - 175)
TSH - 0.14 mIU/L (Range: 0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 - 5.47 pmol/L (Range: 3.1 - 6.8)
Free Thyroxine - 19.700 pmol/L (Range: 12 - 22)
Thyroglobulin Antibodies 21.400 kIU/L (Range: < 115)
Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies 28.80 kIU/L (Range: < 34)
As I said above, I can't seem to find out what the pregnancy ranges are for T4 and T3 but are they normally higher than standard ranges?
As to TSH, the obestrics specialist I saw tried to scare me into stopping T3 as my TSH is surpressed, but all research I have done seems to point to high TSH being a problem in pregnancy, not low...but is this correct??
Look forward to some helpful feedback
Thank you! 😁👍
