testosterone

Very interesting discussion regarding TRT (testosterone replacement therapy) and the BAT (Bipolar androgen therapy) trial. He also discusses cardiovascular events and metabolic syndrome due to a lack of testosterone.

Effect of low endogenous testosterone

Have had low testosterone (<150 ng/ml) most of my life. Non-existent libido, depression and tired most of the time. Recent studies have shown that aggressive prostate cancer more common in people with low testosterone.

Lowering testosterone always lowers PSA, but increasing testosterone does not increase PSA; it rises but then levels off.

Estrogen cream can work to PCa?

My M testosterone's level is average of common man but M testosterone is a just the food to the PCa. I think because of M testosterone, the PSA levels are not decrease but increase. So if we apply the Estrogen cream on the parts of body, the testosterone level may go down?

Has anyone tried testosterone ?

I read somewhere that testosterone was helpful in dealing with the disease. Has anyone tried this? I am a woman and I remember testosterone was helpful during menopause. I just rubbed it on my belly. I'm now 74 and wondering if I should use it to relieve symptoms of Fibro.

Casodex after castration resistance?

His testosterone level also rose from 0.6 to 1.2. The doctor recommended to add Casodex. After a month, in April his PSA was 0.024 and testosterone was 0.9. I have two questions: 1) How relevant is using Casodex at this stage?

Laboratory test variance or ?

5 weeks ago I had asked my own physician for a 3 month post radiotherapy PSA and Testosterone done - the PSA was 0.01 and the Testosterone was 0.6nmol/L (17.3ng/dL) - which I felt happy with and seemed good.

low testosterone

The NIH has a study that says if the thyroid is treated the testosterone levels will rise. I have also heard that low testosterone can mess up the validity of the TSH test.

Female Testosterone Replacement Users

After learning Androfeme costs £150.00 upward, and that my NHS GP already has female patients supplementing testosterone, I approached him to take on my prescription.   It transpires that Androfeme is a female specific low dose 1% testosterone cream only licensed in Australia.

Testosterone post ADT

My t level is coming back very slowly following salvage radiation + 6 months ADT. I’m 60 years old and after nearly 18 months still have difficulty gaining muscle mass and losing this gut. The good news is my PSA is still undetectable. Any suggestions?
