If testosterone supposedly feeds prostate cancer cells, why do many here seemed worried that their testosterone has not recovered? Isn’t it better for the testosterone to be as low as possible versus climbing again and possible feeding the cancer?

Good morning, After years of hormone therapy and low testosterone, my bloodwork from Thursday shows an increase of testosterone. My chart shows it’s been less that 7 for a number of years, now it’s listed as 8. Does this mean that the Xtandi/Eligard is not working anymore?

I’m doing a fasting female testosterone blood test with Superdrug private Dr. Do I really need to delay my NDT Armour meds to do this blood test? Surely my testosterone will be low whether I take Armour or not? 🤔

It kept my testosterone down between 6 - 9 during the first 12 months. I started a heavy weight lifting regiment about 3 months ago - tough at first but feeling great and visible muscle growth. Very happy with results. But on my recent 3 month blood test by testosterone suddenly jumped 22.

My blood work: 4/25/2024 Testosterone 44 ng/dL, PSA undetectable 5/28 T 35, PSA undetectable 6/6 Stopped Abiraterone 7/8 T 968 PSA 0.21 8/19 T 1475 PSA 0.54 My MO want's to do a PSMA scan in a month. I don't see many issues expressed here about elevated testosterone.

I finished rt/ht for locally advanced prostate cancer in 2016 and my testosterone has not recovered.and now I have osteoporosis, I am surprised I have lived this long because no testosterone is dangerous I also have osteosarcopenia and I am at increased risk of other life threatening infections and diseases

Testosterone less than 40(undetectable) and still is. My new MO wants to restart ADT (Depo Lupron and Zytiga) if my testosterone rises, even if my PSA is still undetectable. I am not aware that a rising testosterone is used as a criterion to start ADT. Any thoughts?

Did you do any blood tests prior to starting to check testosterone levels, did you get it via NHS and how easy is it and what are the benefits/ side effects if any?

Do testosterone and PSA numbers drop more once an ARPI is added ?

weight training without testosterone is just a waste of time and now with osteoporosis it's even worse osteosarcopenia .

I would like to know how high a risk there is of the cancer returning if I begin testosterone replacement? Does the risk of returning to testosterone replacement outweigh the benefits?

Prior to any treatment my PSA was 7.8 and my testosterone was 517. After 9 days of Orgovyx my testosterone was 27.17 At six months post SBRT and 1 month post Orgovyx my PSA is 0.19 and my testosterone is 482. Those numbers look pretty good to me. Stay Strong Brothers.

But some more powerful attempts to lower testosterone might bring the T nearer to zero. By eating foods that increase testosterone, let's say we can bring our T up a bit to the 20-50 range.

Hello I am male and had a testosterone blood test recently. The result was 21.3, but it came with no indication as to the range. I am simply told it is "normal". Can anybody help?
