Well my surgery had to chase up the pathology lab for my blood tests, don't know what went on there. My ferritin is now 163, range 13-150. Folate still low at 3.4. B12 a massive 2000, but I had my B12 jab a couple of weeks ago. I requested they test vitamin D but they didn't. All my FBC was good. So no anaemia.
My thyroid also got tested, 0.22 TSH range 0.27 to 4.2
FT4 dropped again to 13 range 12-22
I hit the jackpot and they tested FT3, which was 3.6, range 3.1 to 6.8.
These results are on 125mcg Levo only. The surgery don't seem too bothered about the highish ferritin. It's only just above range and I'm post menopause. I u derstand ferritin often rises after menopause.
I'm pretty surprised that both thyroid hormones are low in range and welcome your thoughts please. I've felt pants recently and am wondering if it's thyroid related.

I would suggest that you continue with the B Complex and add in a separate methylfolate supplement containing 1000mcg per tablet.
400mcg methylfolate is a perfectly good dose for healthy people maintaining a healthy level of folate. But since you have thyroid disease and very low folate this doesn't apply to you and you need more.
As you have B12 injections it’s recommended also to supplement a good quality daily vitamin B complex, one with folate in (not folic acid) may be beneficial.
Thorne Basic B or Jarrow B Right are recommended options that contains folate, but both are large capsules. (You can tip powder out if can’t swallow capsule)
IMPORTANT......If you are taking vitamin B complex, or any supplements containing biotin, remember to stop these 7 days before ALL BLOOD TESTS , as biotin can falsely affect test results
I've been supplementing with methylfolate 400mg since October but my level has gone down. I don't known if I have PA as I've never been told one way or another but I get a B12 jab every 3 months. I do normally take a B complex daily but I made sure I stopped a week before the blood tests.
I haven't tested it for a number of years. The NHS stopped my monthly dose of vitamin D a few years ago and told me to buy my own. I take 5000iu with K2 daily.
No to hashimotos, antibodies always negative. I've had antibodies checked privately and via NHS.
Always get Accord as named brand.
Not lactose free but am gluten free.
I did try increasing to 150mcg between February and April. I found it was giving me migraines so dropped to 125mcg. I was due to,privately test my thyroid levels but MMH rejected my sample as I couldn't get enough blood out. That was end of April. Today's NHS result is the first one I've had since December.
