Today I've had my Thyroid Function Test results back from my GP, he has diagnosed me with hypothyroidism and has classed it as severe! I've been prescribed 100mg of Levothyroxine.

I've also had a basic thyroid test done: Thyroid function test Serum TSH level 1.21 mu/L [0.35 - 4.94] Serum free T4 level 11.8 pmol/L [9.0 - 19.1] Serum lipid levels Serum cholesterol level 5.9 mmol/L [3.6 - 5.0]; Above high reference limit Serum triglyceride levels 1.9 mmol/L [0.5 - 1.7];

The results of her thyroid function test are T4 10.3, normal range 11.0 - 21.2 pmol/L, and TSH 1.87, normal range 0.27 - 4.20 mIU/L. She understands that these results are normal in pregnancy and an obstetrician has said she does not need T4 prescribed.

I did a thyroid function test this morning as I feel slightly better, no fever anymore but still some mild cold symptoms remaining.

One test was thyroid function test : TSH, T4 but of course, no T3. The results were TSH 4.48 (0.35-5.00); T4 14.3 (11.00-23.00). Do you think it would be worth getting Medichecks to do a proper Thyroid function test?

I have emailed the endo and have been told to repeat the thyroid function test - which I hope to do tomorrow - and they can assess. My right eye is also sore and I have reduced vision. Thanks for any advice.
