Hi further to my cholesterol test etc yesterday and thanks for the comments and advice I managed to have a chat with my Dr albeit not my usual Dr he said my cholesterol readings were fine the lower the better didn't seen concerned when I said my good cholesterol HDL was way low so god knows.

Hi folks, So I have just had my cholesterol test done by my GP with the following results. HDL - 1.5 LDL - 6.8 TRIGLYCERIDES - 1.7 Total 8.3 risk factor 26% They want to start me on Statins asap.

This is my latest cholesterol test readings. I knw that the total cholesterol level is high (as it tells me) but my diet is not bad (exercise level lowish though due to PMR) but are there any/enough mitigating factors? Due to see GP in about 3 weeks.

A recent cholesterol test came back with a total cholesterol reading of 5.1. A previous cholesterol reading taken a couple of years ago of 5.2 was deemed to be OK by a specialist NHS cardiac nurse.

Hi All Had a Cholesterol test come back at 6.7 and automatically are suggesting statins. Seeing the Dr next week if I can get an appt to discuss. Any concerns from a CLL perspective.

He asked me for a urine sample which I have provided, but I will ask for another cholesterol test before I consent to statins. I have found this all a bit worrying and am asking what advice anyone may have who has been in a similar popsition. thanks

I'm coming up to 75 in June, my cholesterol test last year was 6.6. This finger prick test result Total 7.7 HDL 2.17 Triglycerides 1.94 LDL. 4.66 I'm now down to 5mg pred but have Neen on pred since October 2017.
