Hey everyone

First off I just want to say a massive Thankyou to everyone who has helped me so far in my horrible symptoms moans, this isn't a great website..

So iv just had my blood test results and wondering if I'm safe to try t3 as well as try introducing liver into my diet once a week as I am still having all those nasty hypo symptoms despite doctors telling me everything is fine..

Here goes

Calcium 2.27 (2.20-260)

Phosphate 0.88 (0.80-1.50)

Albumin 35 (35-50)

Alkaline phoshpatase 55 (30-130)

Creatinine 81 (40-130)

Sodium 139 (133-146)

Potassium 4.2 (3.5-5.3)

Chloride 108 (95-108)

Urea 2.2 (2.5-7.8) -

Liver

Bilirubin 23 (<<22)

ALt 6 (<<50)

AsT 14 (<<40)

Alkaline phosphatase 55 (30-150)

Albumin 35 (35-50)

VItamin D 107 (>50)

Total T3 1.8 (0.9-2.5)

TSH 0.03 (0.35-5) -

Free t4 16.6 (9.0-21.0)

Serum Vitamin b12 298 (200-900)

Serum folate 11.6 (3.1-20.0)

Serum ferritin 31 (15-200)

Slightly low iron he says - recommends more in diet and thyroid sufficiently treated

Any thoughts?

I'd really like to try t3 at a lose dose to see if my hypo symptoms disappear

Sparklefairy,

Urea is below range and bilirubin mildly over range. On-off abnormal results probably aren't significant. Google "low serum urea" and "high serum bilirubin" for explanations.

VitD is optimal.

TSH is suppressed and FT4 mid range. It would be useful to see FT3 to see whether conversion is good or poor. Total T3 doesn't help. If you add T3 to your Levothyroxine it will further suppress your TSH which may cause your endo or GP to throw a hissy fit.

B12 is low in range. If you have symptoms of deficiency in b12deficiency.info/signs-an... go to healthunlocked.com/pasoc for advice.

Folate is good.

You can raise ferritin by eating more iron rich food and supplementing iron. Take each tablet with 1,000mg vitamin C to aid absorption and minimise constipation. Take iron 4 hours away from Levothyroxine and T3.
